A sweet idea! Count me in!
$20 for 16 ounces. I think one of the suspects was offering a discount code.A sweet idea! Count me in!
When lawfare is meant as a way to drain an accused of their finances, and therefore any way of proving their innocence in court, they have to find a way to raise money.$20 for 16 ounces. I think one of the suspects was offering a discount code.
Maybe Trump should stop dropping all of his defamation lawsuits and actually win one. That would raise money to help finance his defense and the defenses of those who followed him. When lawfare is meant as a way to drain an accused of their finances, and therefore any way of proving their innocence in court, they have to find a way to raise money.
Jim Jordan (he of the now ironic government weaponization subcommittee) signed his name to a stupid letter to Fani Willis.
Prosecutor to Jim Jordan: ‘You lack a basic understanding of the law’
How is that relevant? She is being confronted about things she doesn't like, so she argues in response. What does that prove other than the fact that she's become defensive? And again.
Fani Willis Tells Jim Jordan to Pound Sand in Scathing Letter: ‘You Are Abusing Your Authority’
A charitable explanation of your correspondence is that you are ignorant of the United States and Georgia Constitutions and codes. A more troubling explanation is that you are abusing your authority as Chairman of the Committee on the Judiciary to attempt to obstruct and interfere with a Georgia criminal prosecution. See O.C.G.A. § 16-10-24. Indeed, you confessed to this motivation on Mark Levin’s September 10, 2023, show: when discussing one of my office’s active prosecutions. you boasted, “We’re trying to get all the answers, but we’re trying to stop this stuff as well” (emphasis added). While you may enjoy immunity under the United States Constitution’s Speech or Debate Clause, that does not make your behavior any less offensive to the rule of law.
Read the rest of Willis’ letter here.
I really can't follow your train of thought, so I'll try something else. How is that relevant? She is being confronted about things she doesn't like, so she argues in response. What does that prove other than the fact that she's become defensive?
A state case can become federal if any federal laws are being violated, even in the way it is being handled.I really can't follow your train of thought, so I'll try something else.
Congress has no jurisdiction or authority over a state case. Jordan is trying to interfere in a state case, demanding various documents. DA Willis is telling him no, and to go ask DOJ if he has questions about federal things.
Maybe Jordan can cool his jets until something like that occurs. As it is, I believe the judge has rejected several requests to remove the trial to federal court.A state case can become federal if any federal laws are being violated, even in the way it is being handled.
If federal laws are being violated, then it become a matter for the executive branch. Jordan is trying to exercise Congress' oversight powers on a state, which is not within his purview.A state case can become federal if any federal laws are being violated, even in the way it is being handled.
The same judge who has already voiced his opinions about Trump and the case before it's even run its course?Maybe Jordan can cool his jets until something like that occurs. As it is, I believe the judge has rejected several requests to remove the trial to federal court.
Different judge? Hard to keep them all straight.I must have missed that. When did that happen?
Trump ally is first to plead guilty in Georgia elections case
Former Republican poll watcher Scott Hall pleads guilty to five criminal counts and must testify against co-defendants.
Scott Hall is now expected to testify against his co-conspirators.
So Trump was right all along. There was something fishy in Georgia. There were people trying to steal the election! As part of her guilty plea, Powell is admitting her role in the January 2021 breach of election systems in rural Coffee County, Georgia.
It was really tempting to necro this thread. So Trump was right all along. There was something fishy in Georgia. There were people trying to steal the election!
