A California elementary school was evacuated Tuesday morning after receiving a bomb threat with “racial undertones,” according to police. The threat, which was emailed to the principal Chabot Elementary School in Oakland, came a day after notorious right-wing account Libs Of TikTok tweeted about the school holding a playdate for children of color.​

How is a playdate for kids of color bringing back segregation? Of course using the general definition for 'segregation' can be accurate, however segregation regarding schools means much more than just a playdate. Regardless, the right wants to segregate the boys and girls in athletics in schools, so the thought of segregation is alive and well on the right....it would seem a bit hypocritical to call this segregation.

After further research it appears that Chabot Elementary School is one of three schools in Oakland participating in a pilot program called " Equitable Enrollment ". This program is aimed at diversifying mostly white schools by inviting low- income children of color. This "playdate" was simply bringing a small group of " invited" children together so that the transition is a bit easier for them. It has NOTHING to do with racism against white people. Ridiculous.

I could see "coed" team sports. But not guys competing against gals individually - except in training. Guys have certain natural advantages statistically.

No. The girls and boys wrestle on JV, varsity and in tournaments against each other. Don't forget wrestling is an individual full contact sport. Now there is enough interest from the girls that they almost have enough participants to have their own teams.

Interesting. In my sport of cycling there would never be a female national, world, Olympic champion ever again if they had to race together. Even in the lower levels the unfairness would be intolerable and discouraging to most women.
