It’s like he’s not trying to be Trump as much as he wants to be like Reagan; which, unfortunately, he’s not a talented understudy. The ambition just oozes out for me in this campaign materials.
He wants power that he can wield to make things better by doing things his way. This ambition drives (nearly) all of politics and is normal, but some of his “restrictions” are nearing to “changing underwear every half hour”, (Google that kids!)

Maybe he’ll be at least be “presentable” in ‘28?

When all this nonsense got started, I thought about my student Cynthia, who (not unreasonably) wanted to be called "Cindy". Can you imagine having someone tell you how they want to be addressed, and then not doing so? Or worse yet, in this new twist, having to get parental permission to do so? I mean, it's not just a microaggression to call Cynthia Cynthia. It would border on bullying if you kept insisting, "Your name on the roll sheet is Cynthia, Cynthia. I'm sorry, Cynthia, there's just nothing I can do about it."

I was kinda hoping the article was going to provide the actual wording of the rule, rather than just opine. Of course this wasn't something that existed until LGBTQ put so much into getting children caught up its gender rabbit hole. I'm sure the reason for it is Johnny insisting on being called "Becky" due to LGBTQ influencing. Or perhaps something more creative like "Sparkle Queen" because Johnny decided he wants to be like his drag queen story teller.

It's a very weird place to make a stand, hopefully voters don't catch on that instead of addressing things like the economy or immigration, the GOP is wasting tax dollars trying to get big government involved in which nicknames be used for their children at school.
