Welcome to American politics at Christian Forums. It has been this way since at least 2005. Not criticizing AT ALL, but MAGA is tribalism....
My senses tell me it's getting a little thick these days...

Perhaps it's helpful to revisit the concept every now and then, for self-swareness purposes, and to advance more enlightened conversations, as opposed to remaining in ignorance of it.

...Going full blown tribal is no fun for anyone.

I don't usually devolve into these type of discussions, but what are the Democrats saying about this?
They vehemently rebuke Trump when he says voter fraud, so they can't acknowledge fraud in that sense, but... if they voted Republican? That gets tempting. Lol

The point is trump claims that millions and millions of voter fraud votes cheated him out of the election. Yet, most every time one example of voter fraud is discovered it has been a republican voter.

Fraudulent votes have always been with us. Irish elections were notorious for the 'vote early, and vote often' slogan. In practice this often meant that the poll cards issued for the dead were taken to the polling station by relatives.

However, individuals voting when they have no right to is a different issue from systematic fraud amounting to falsifying the result of a national election. In the case of American politics the first is a proven crime. The second is an assertion without evidence.

There will never be evidence to back up Trump's accusation - which it has to be remembered was made before the election took place. It did not happen.

They've added a new fallacy: No True Republican
Are registered Democrats obligated to vote in step with their declared party?
Many voted for Trump in 2016.

I don't always get sarcasm, but it looks like you guys are playing.
Are there really people that naïve...?

All 5% of democrats....All the men were named Manchin and the women were named Sinema.

LOL

5% out of 100% is not many. It is a few.

You've heard of New True Scotsman?

Well, it sure sounded like the woman was registered republican but might have voted democrat and thus was no true republican... A deflection from the facts available.

I predict it's a Cuban Republican...

(reads OP)

Nailed it!
That shouldn't come as a huge surprise...

Hispanic/Latino voters aren't as monolithic in voting patterns like other demographic groups are. Cubans, in particular, are more likely to vote Republican due to the fact that Democrats often give lip service to the kinds of ideologies they were fleeing from.

It's the same reason why so many Eastern Europeans (who lived through the cold war era) often vote republican.

Why this person opted to vote illegally? Who knows...

But the "speaking out of both side of one's mouth" is going both ways on this one.

When republicans claim to want to "be tough on voter fraud" as a pretense for laws that are clearly designed to disenfranchise minority voters (or anyone else they think won't vote their way) democrats are quick to toss out a comically low estimate of how much of it takes place as a justification for why voter regulations are unnecessary.

Yet, when it's someone doing it for the republican side, conservatives want to downplay it, and liberals all of the sudden start pretending it's a "big deal".

Like with most other things, I'd like to see a little more consistency.

I have a hard time believing that you would honestly proffer "No True Scotsman" and completely dismiss "false flag.*"
It smacks of gaslighting.

*"False flag" has not been proven, either, but I do not see how we can [be certain], either way, with only the information given.

Which part is unclear?
I am not proffering "no true republican". I'm suggesting that the idea that the proposal that if this person voted democrat they weren't actually a Republican is a fallacy and based on no data whatsoever.

Your potential false flag is just deflection.

The arguments about fraud is "widespread fraud significant enough to impact the election outcome"
Everyone acknowledges that some fraud always happens.

Hopefully the sentencing won't be too heavy handed for such a lightweight crime.
My bet is she could have gotten off with community service and probation. That is until she lied under oath. And about something that was sure to be confirmed once someone decided to look at her specifically.

I don't need to prove. You've asserted without evidence and I have, therefore, dismissed your assertion.
And you assert that she voted Republican with no such corroborating evidence...
