The law of liberty speaks about treating others as Jesus has treated you. If you fail to do so, you then get judged without mercy i.e. by the mosaic law.
It was asked what it was not what it asks. The Law of Liberty is first mentioned in chapter1. What does the context reveal that it is?
So the law of sin is that Paul could not help himself. As Jesus said, they whom commit sin are a slave to it. This also concurs with what Paul shared in chapter 6 in regards to sin. There he says not to serve it any more because we have become slaves to righteousness through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This concurs with Jesus' words when He said, but if the Son shall make you free. free we are indeed, As Paul also said, The Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the Law of sin AND death, that the righteousness of the Law be fulfilled in us. Who walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh which serves the other law, the law of sin in our members.Paul said, I no longer sin, but it is the sin within me that sins. By identifying the sin separate from the creation, it's like a virus, an infection or something similar that causes creation to malfunction. Sin tends to be defined as a list of offenses, sometimes summary statements are provided, but these lists are just a way of identifying when treatment is required.
