  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

In the lawsuit, attorneys for Noelle Dunphy allege that Giuliani offered her employment for a salary of $1 million a year in 2019 when Giuliani was serving as an attorney for then-President Donald Trump.

“He made clear that satisfying his sexual demands—which came virtually anytime, anywhere—was an absolute requirement of her employment and of his legal representation,” the lawsuit says.

Giuliani’s demands for sex were captured on recordings, according to court documents [which contain poopoo words, so don't click the links within the link if that would upset you].

In one instance, for example, Giuliani promised Ms. Dunphy that he would give her $300,000 if she would forgo her legal rights in connection with her pending case and “[fornicate] me like crazy.” This statement was recorded.1

In addition to his sexual demands, Giuliani went on alcohol-drenched rants that included sexist, racist, and antisemitic remarks, which made the work environment unbearable. Many of these comments were recorded.

At this point, of course, we only have her (and her lawyers') side of the story.

I don't see the problem here. He explicitly hired her as his personal full-time prostitute and she took the job. What is she complaining about?

If nothing else, apparently she didn't get paid.

Loose and gullible sorta go together, non?
It does seem gullible to accept that she was some sort of 'secret employee' and had to defer pay. It'll be interesting to see how well she can substantiate an actual job, if she was being (not) paid under the table. Speaking of under the table, Daily Beast has additional details, including... (ready the mind bleach)
"He allegedly told Dunphy he “enjoyed engaging in this conduct [with her] while on the telephone [with others] because it made him “feel like Bill Clinton.”"

He takes Viagra and then expects sex, which is backward. One should take Viagra only on the condition that consensual sex has first been offered. It would be like scheduling a press conference at the Four Seasons before you've determined whether it's a hotel or a landscaping outfit.

I'm beginning to wonder what these "best people" are "best" at....
These “best people” are flawed . This is sad and shows us how flawed those are that sit in high places or have influential power. Due to human flaws and humanity’s propensity to err, we should pray for those in leadership authority.

A representative for Giuliani said he “vehemently and completely denies” Dunphy’s account “and plans to thoroughly defend against these allegations. This is pure harassment and an attempt at extortion.”

Giuliani’s representative, who asked not to be named so they could speak candidly, said he dated Dunphy for a while, but denied she was employed by him or his entities.

Giuliani advisor Ted Goodman claimed that Dunphy never actually worked for Giuliani.

The suit, which said Giuliani “worked aggressively” to hire Dunphy, said she played a critical role in his organization, managing his schedule and public profile.

Where's the 'golddigger' poster? Figgered they'd be all over this thread, and they probably wouldn't get much pushback.

Giuliani’s representative said any recordings Dunphy has of him were illegally obtained, declining to discuss their alleged substance.

And yet, Guiliani pushed the 'record' button himself on many occasions, and their are recordings of Guiliani granting permission for the recording to happen, according to the lawsuit. Curiouser and curioser.

The other thing we should do is not vote for them, not support them, and allow them to fade from the public discourse and abandon their influence over anyone.

And pray for them as individuals.

I may be wrong but it seems to me that NY law says that only one person needs to be aware that their conversation is being recorded, either Dunphy or Giuliani.

I was wondering the same thing. She's complaining about not getting her $1m? I thought prostitution was illegal in NY? Obviously, she was paid something, under the table (?), did she pay her taxes?
I think I must not have enough information to understand what is going on here.

According to her suit.
She was hired by Giuliani as a Director of Business Development
But! Due to his divorce, her employment was to be "secret" and he was unable to pay her salary, so that would have to be deferred. She agreed.
The sexual harassment started after her 'hire'.
She never received any pay. Or salary, to be more accurate. "To tide Ms. Dunphy over and keep her obedient to him, Giuliani sometimes paid Ms. Dunphy in increments of no more than $5,000 in cash, at random times. For example, Giuliani paid Ms. Dunphy $4,000 in cash on February 1, 2019, before she traveled from New York to Florida, as part of her “deferred pay.”"
