As opposed to Big Oil which is all about feeding the hungry and leading humanity into an age of peace and harmony.

I'm confused, who exactly is supposed to be the white knight in your delusion... and for gosh sakes please don't say Donald Trump. :prayer:
The age of peace and harmony will not arrive until Christ returns. Trust me this climate scam will not feed the hungry it will only cause more hunger. I have no delusion here. The delusion is that eating bugs and riding bicycles will save the planet. Jesus is the only “white knight “ . Sorry Joe snd Kamala. Oh yeah I forgot someone once referred to Obama as the savior or was it messiah? Biden Introduces New Federal Agency With Massive Climate Authority Is this a white knight?

I call it religion because many that follow the fear mongering, act as thought it is a religion.
Are you saying religions are about fear mongering things that aren't true? Noted.
We were told by “science “ 20 years ago many would now be swimming in melted ice caps. “Science” told us many untruths about vaccines and masks, “science “ tells us women can be men and men can be women.
So, you just don't like people trying to understand reality. Got it.
Many scientists say what their grant money tells them to say.
A damnable lie.
Many profit off of the “religion “ of climate change just look at Al Gore.
Algore is not and never was a scientist. He was born to politics.
“Science” also tells us men came from monkeys.
Humans are old world monkeys, yes. (I'm sensing a theme.)
Excuse me if I doubt what some call “science”.
This must be why you keep using "scare quote" to disdain it.
There are a few SCIENTISTS that truly put this debate in perspective but they are shunned by mainstream profiteers.

Oh, now we get to the "real scientists", the ones that don't profit from the puppeteers. Why are most of these "real scientists" not actually experts in climate?
Believe what you wish but man will not destroy the planet and I assure you doing away with rice, meat, cars, and everything else this false “religion” tells you is bad will not save the planet.
The planet will remain in orbit for another 4+ billion years. It is the stability of the climate that we have built our civilization around that is at risk.
There is so much hypocrisy in this false “religion “ I am amazed at how the masses continually fall for it.
That's what religions do, but climate science isn't a religion.
The “profits” of doom preach, eat these bugs buy these electric cars, give up your lifestyle while flying around the world in private jets , living in mansions consuming unashamedly obscene amounts of energy all while telling us to sacrifice.
Again, you seem to be talking about Algore again. I don't care about that twit. He's not a climate researcher.
The climate on this planet has been changing for many years. Every hurricane is not proof of anything except that we sometimes have hurricanes.
That's why we look at the trend in number and intensity of hurricanes and other extreme weather events.
I do despise the current false narrative forced on the population. Biden Interior Secretary Nearly Starts Crying About Climate Change
And I don't care about your "feelings" about climate. Science is about facts, not feelings.

Some are particularly this one!
So, you just don't like people trying to understand reality. Got it.
No I wish more would you should try it!
A damnable lie.
Many Scientists disagree with you.
Algore is not and never was a scientist. He was born to politics.
He sure has profited of of this "damnable lie".
Humans are old world monkeys, yes. (I'm sensing a theme.)
Not my ansestors!
This must be why you keep using "scare quote" to disdain it.
If old time prophets had the same record as the fear mongering climate criers they would have been ignored.
Oh, now we get to the "real scientists", the ones that don't profit from the puppeteers. Why are most of these "real scientists" not actually experts in climate?
Many are they are just are not bought off or worried about losing grants and jobs.
The planet will remain in orbit for another 4+ billion years.
Very doubtful . At least those that believe in the God that created it and gave us HIs written word know how this is all going to end.

It is the stability of the climate that we have built our civilization around that is at risk.
There have been many changes in our climate over many years. Your claim of stability is not even believed by your favorite "scientists".
That's what religions do, but climate science isn't a religion.
Yes I can admit there is hypocrisy in religion but you apparently cannot see it in false claims that have failed to materialize with climate change, remember it used to be global warming.
Again, you seem to be talking about Algore again. I don't care about that twit. He's not a climate researcher.
But he preaches the sermon sand collects the offerings.
That's why we look at the trend in number and intensity of hurricanes and other extreme weather events.
Someone has lied to you about some of that.
And I don't care about your "feelings" about climate. Science is about facts, not feelings.
And I really don't care about you opinion of my feelings or your pseudo science!

"My pseudoscience"? You don't even know what science I do and yet you insult it.

I guess a house on fire and the fear for the people in it is a religion than?

I'd say that's a good analogy.

We usually warn people before they go there though.

A better analogy would be all of the people who set a date for the end of the world and the return of Christ and ended up with egg on their face. Past predictions for climate disaster have come and gone but the faithful believers just set a new date and carry on.

But if we follow that analogy to its logical conclusion then both climate change and Christ's return are nothing more than delusions.

So are you willing to stand by your analogy?

If you're not, then why should you expect others to do something that you aren't willing to do yourself... i.e admit that you might be wrong.

Climate change is measurable and can be seen and experienced. Not so much with the idea of Christ's return.

Climate change is measurable and can be seen and experienced.

So can the change in the temperature of my living room.

It's when scientists go beyond "seen and experienced measurements," into the realm of "cease and desist or New York will be underwater tomorrow" that I have trouble with.

And why is that a problem? If you see and experience measurable signs of impending danger isn't it only prudent to take steps to avoid or ameliorate that danger?

I fail to see exactly what it is that you're having trouble with. Is it simply the fact that this may turn out to be 'much ado about nothing' that has you so alarmed? If so, you should probably just chill out a bit... like Y2k this too shall pass and the future will wonder what all the hubbub was about. But in the grand scheme of things it's far better to be cautious and wrong than to be dismissive and wrong.

So in this particular case I for one vote for being cautious.

Do you realize that the more ridiculous your "analogies" are the less credible your argument is, right?

I'm not understanding why the issues with what we are actually experiencing world wide. To me it's like reality denied.

You really missed the point here. Both those that predict the time of Christs return and the end by climate change should be ignored.

The "return of Christ" is not relevant to this forum. (A climate topic should be in the parent forum anyway, this has nothing to do with creationism or evolution.)

The point I was making is relevant to the topic.
