That's true - he remained defiantly non-compliant for a year and a half, lying and stalling and having his dumb lawyer sign a false affidavit . As I recall, they used force on him when he wasn't even there, being hundreds of miles away. A court order is virtual force, eh?

I'm not going to correct your misunderstanding about what constitutes a "use of force". That's going to take a lot longer than I care to bother with...

I'll just point out that he had turned over a rather large quantity of documents during the time you're calling him "non-compliant" and ask if he's even been charged with a crime yet?

Because if that doesn't happen....one has to wonder what would possibly justify the egregious violation of his 4th amendment rights and why the DOJ and National Archives failed to learn Biden was essentially guilty of the same behavior for years before Trump did it

One might be left with the impression these various departments and offices were completely corrupt under this administration....or woefully inept.

The lawsuit alleges that Kansas City police officers were told it would be easier to write up multiple citations during traffic stops in minority neighborhoods.

A white Kansas City, Missouri, police officer has filed a lawsuit with a slew of complaints against the Kansas City Police Department, including accusations that some in the division regularly used racist language and forced badge bearers to use racist policing tactics.

The lawsuit — which was filed mid-March in Jackson County Court by 21-year police force veteran Edward Williams, 44 — alleges that KCPD officers were told to only respond to distress calls from predominately white neighborhoods and to target minority neighborhoods for issuing tickets.

Williams says that he was retaliated against for being a whistleblower and was discriminated against after an injury. He is seeking monetary damages, per NPR.

A judge released the investigative report compiled by the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office that included the partly redacted messages after a joint FBI and local investigation into the city’s police department.

The messages, which were sent in 2020 and 2021, detail officers' allegedly using racial epithets and homophobic slurs, sharing racist images and casually discussing the use of “less lethal” weapons on people, including the city's mayor, who is Black.

The majority of the roughly 114,000 residents of Antioch, about 45 miles northeast of San Francisco, are minorities.

In a message on Nov. 22, 2021, Rombough allegedly texted an officer, “I’m only stopping them cuz they black,” and added an expletive.

In a message included in the investigative report and dated April 29, 2020, Officer Morteza Amiri told an officer from a nearby department that because his agency does not record interviews on video, "I sometimes just say people gave me a full confession when they didn't."

"Gets filed easier," Amiri said, according to the report.

Contra Costa County Public Defender Ellen McDonnell confirmed that at least 16 of those officers are in leadership roles.​

The scandal is growing.

This is all very recent, so I think we can consider it a developing story. Although the sheriff's initial response has been to deflect to the recording being potentially illegal.

Oklahoma is a one party consent state, so not sure how it can be illegal. Regardless of the legality of the recording, people like the sheriff, the police captain and the jail administrator who are lamenting that they cannot drag black people out of jail and lynch them, who spoke about hiring hitmen in that conversation cannot serve the people in that county.

If the legislature or the governor's office has the power to fire them, they should do so immediately. Asking the nicely after what they talking about is not the right way to proceed.

Sadly these are just the ones who got caught.

When a Kentucky high school student was added to a group chat three years ago, students allegedly called her the n-word hundreds of times. Macie Hill received no support from school administrators when she complained about the racism, her family said, so in August 2020, they filed a lawsuit against Madison County’s board of education.

They had no idea how much change they would spur by speaking out.

The Department of Justice began investigating complaints from Hill and other students against the Madison County School District 20 months ago, ultimately finding that racism in the district was prevalent and that administrators failed to respond appropriately.

The Justice Department investigation in Kentucky is just one example of probes into racism within U.S. school districts. The department also reached settlement agreements with Vermont and Utah districts in recent years.

Justice Dept. finds Minneapolis PD engaged in excessive force, discrimination​

Attorney General Merrick Garland said the DOJ and city have agreed in principle to a consent decree for reforms.

The Minneapolis Police Department engaged in patterns of excessive force and discrimination, according to findings of a 2-year Justice Department investigation.

At a press conference in Minneapolis Friday, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland said the DOJ investigation found Minneapolis police engaged "in a pattern or practice of using excessive force, unlawfully discriminating against Black and Native American people in enforcement activities, violating the rights of people engaged in protected speech, and discriminating against people with behavioral disabilities when responding to them in a crisis."

Garland said the conduct violates the First and Fourth Amendments to the United States Constitution, as well as the Civil Rights Act, Safe Streets Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
