Another thing I don't understand about the creationist position...

That's like people scratching the Mona Lisa, then others saying the Mona Lisa was painted that way.

If you scratch off the Mona Lisa it is written (in felt tip) underneath "This is a fake."

Wow...going back a bit for this one. :)

My primary objections with scripture is that when it comes to creation they do not support what God's own Creation, created by His own hands and signed off with His signature has shown us.
What God says he did trumps what it looks like He did.

You can make up words about any fictional thing, but "evolutionism" is a fictional thing whether you make a word for it or not. (It is a creationist strawman.)

From Wikipedia:

The term evolution is widely used, but the term evolutionism is not used in the scientific community to refer to evolutionary biology as it is redundant and anachronistic.

SOURCE

Do you know the difference between something that is "fictional," and something that is "redundant"?

What God says he did trumps what it looks like He did.
And God Reveals the Truth to little children, He Reveals What He Did, and honestly it looks just exactly like He Says.

It is men / mankind who get it all wrong, as they are opposed to God.

"fiction" is by men every day.
"redundant" is that men publish fiction every day.

So what is the problem then ?
For myself, a very old Earth that has evolved geologically as well as evolving life changes these past 4 Billion years presents no problems at all. That's where the Truth is at, at least IMO. Not in an ancient Middle-Eastern tribes creation understandings. Our knowledge of the world and the Universe has grown a lot since those days. I can do that and not take God out of the picture by putting God right into the center of an ongoing forever Creation process.

Agreed. Which is why I trust what God created in the Earth way more than the creation stories of an ancient middle-eastern tribe.

God didn't speak to them?

Careful. You are getting close to violating the rules.

I thought of that when I wrote it. And I tried to write carefully because of that. But I don't know how else to point towards where and why I find major issues with the Biblical Creation story with out also looking at it's ancient cultural/religious background. And than also looking at the Creation story that science has brought us. It's quandary. How do I bring all of this up without violating the forum rules. Which I do respect very much so.

I’m not going to help you disparage Christianity.
