What is Tradition? What is the difference in view between Catholics and Protestants?

There are "Sacred Traditions," with a upper case "T" and traditions with a lower case, "t." Sacred Traditions cannot be changed, i.e., Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again. There are others like the Eucharists and Baptism.

Small "t" traditions can change, as in the case of married priests, abstaining from meat on Fridays, etc.

Sacred Traditions are what feeds our faith. We don't have faith because we are
told what to believe, but what we desire because of the Holy Spirit dwelling within.

"Faith," is the revelation of God to the individual, however that may happen.

Religion is the response to faith.

Simple. Your five solas are traditions of men. Even the ones I might like. They are not in themselves Scripture.

Those who claim absolutely no tradition are really followers of a 'no tradition' tradition. They would be better off recognizing that they followed their own tradition rather than pretending they followed no tradition at all.
Where have I denied tradition itself? I deny tradition being on equal authority with Scripture. That is what Sola Scriptura means. Do you know what Protestants believe?

all manner of different things. If you talk with enough of them you find thousands of permutations. All of them straight from the Bible, of course.

Scripture itself is a tradition. It would be a logical fallacy to claim that a Christian does not follow a religion, a creed, or a tradition of any degree. Most conservative Protestant churches recognise this. It is the more of the progressive and charismatic types from my experience that make such contradictory assertions. "I have no creed but Jesus," which itself is a creed.
