I’m seriously considering leaving the Lutheran LCMS for a ND church. If I do, and if I’d get Baptized again (I was Baptized Catholic as a baby) I was curious where you all were Baptized? In a pool, tub, lake/pond?
You do not need to be Baptized again you were validly Baptized once and that is all that is desired.

Doesn’t some churches encourage immersion even if you’d been sprinkled before?

I was baptized in a large tub built into the floor on a chilly winter day, in a basement. I was also a victim of catholicism and baptized as an infant. Continue to follow the lead of the Holy Spirit who will lead you into all truth. Prove all things against the Logos.

Of the three churches I’ve been considering, one has a tub that looks to me from my seat, a built in Jacuzzi. The second does it once a year in a pond/lake at one of their churches. The third…I’m not sure. I saw a picture of someone in a pond or lake but I think that they also Baptize in colder months so I’m not sure how they do it.

Traditions of men rather than the word of God. Catholicism follows in the footsteps of the Pharisees and Sadducees by placing the traditions of men above the teachings of Christ. Ever notice how catholicism tries to place their priests between you and God? How catholicism tries to define who is a Saint? How the pope has the same attitudes as a Caesar of the Roman empire? ...And so forth.....

Yes some do but if someone has been baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, they are a member of the Body of Christ.

What are you going to do?
Get rebaptized in every new denomination you decide to join?

Who is doing the actual baptizing...
The denomination
Or
God ?

You only get baptized once in life.

If this is not true, then baptism is only a ritual of each denomination and has no meaning.

You're baptized.
Take your bath at home.

I was baptized as an infant in the Catholic Church as well. When I became a born again Christian, I was baptized by the Holy Spirit and water immersion.
Blessings.

What are you talking about? I’ve been to several churches and haven’t been Baptized at any of them except the RCC as a baby.

Good.
That's as it should be.

I was replying to what YOU stated:

Sure sounds like you're considering getting baptized AGAIN.

I was baptized in a lake in Minnesota. I was part of a Pentecostal church but left because of the striving and legalism. I joined a non-denominational church shortly afterwards and am still non-denominational.
Do you like your church? I’ve been told by several people that I’m not going to church for entertainment or fun, I’m going there to worship. I agree, BUT I see nothing wrong with looking forward to church and enjoying the worship experience. During Catholic Mass (when I was a Catholic) I’m so bored I can’t even pay attention to what’s going on.
