Hopeless. Say it isn't so.There’s no point in answering. If a person has this outlook on God there’s nothing you can say that will change that.

Questions not only open the door for answers, they also open the door to mystery and trouble. In fact, as many of these cartoons depict, asking too many questions or the wrong kinds of questions can get you into plenty of difficulty. So over the course of time I eventually came to detect that there are three stages of questions that I've journeyed through.... The third kind of questions is open questions. The answer to these questions is that there isn't an answer. Oh, there may be an answer, but we don't know what it is, we don't pretend that there is, and we remain open in order to discern it when or if it should arrive.
Right he is a theist as far as I know. The cartoon appeals to non theism was my point.I love nakedpastor's art.
I'm not so sure he's a non-theist. I think, rather, that he wrestles with a lot of questions without jumping too quickly to an easy answer. From his book, Questions Are The Answer:
The cartoon in the OP is one of these difficult questions, I think. Whatever the answer is, we shouldn't decide too easily that we've figured it out. The cartoon invites us to sit for a while with the difficult and important question of God's goodness, of what we mean when we say that God is good.

The whole point is if you stand back and look from a non Christian pov. Be advised this is the view that this generation has about the biblical account. And we as Christians need to be mindful of this mindset. The view of man cannot be compared to the One
who knows our hearts.
Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
He has given us the remedy, therefore, only those who
reject the gift of His Son need be concerned. Can I tell
you more about Him?
I hear you. But still, it's a logical fallacy. Mankind was made from the dust of the ground and Noah died just like everyone else even if not in the same manner. The biblical account is that God's Word partook of flesh and blood and suffered and died so as to destroy the works of the one who had the power of death and provide for a resurrection. The whole point is if you stand back and look from a non Christian pov. Exactly. But you must understand how we take for granted what we know as truth. It is essential to empathize with those who are troubled and need assurance of God's love.I hear you. It isn't garbage, they actually have hearts and thinking minds. We are to gently share our faith. It is a valid concern. How would Christ respond? Angry or kind? No, you asked how I would respond. I am not really
interested in non Christian povs, but if someone got
in my face with this kind of garbage, I would politely
try to steer the conversation to what Christ has done.
The End.
He didn't respond too kindly to mockers. . .nor did the apostle. It isn't garbage, they actually have hearts and thinking minds. We are to gently share our faith. It is a valid concern. How would Christ respond? Angry or kind?

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. 1 Peter 3:15He didn't respond too kindly to mockers. . .nor did the apostle.
