Do those who love their guns offer any solutions to the shooting of innocent people?

There are ways of doing it. It is important more than anything that people are watched after the fact. Background checks ( no matter how detailed they are only would work at the time of purchase. Also firearm safety course in schools would be good. (optional courses).

I havent seen a handgun rob a person before. Most are upstanding appliances that are perfectly happy lying in their gun safe.

The Constitution was written to protect the rights of the people, from an overreaching government. The Constitution doesn't grant any rights. It serves to protect the rights that every man is born with. At the center of those rights, is the right to defend all of his other rights, including his right to life.

Everyone is born with an unalienable right to defend himself and those under his protection. But that right does not include the right to own any weapon one may choose to own. There is no divine right to own a gun - certainly not in Catholic theology, and I doubt that it is a central belief in any other Christian theology.

No, I dont think I enjoy the look of a weapon that is used to threaten people out of their belongings.

If teachers are all armed then there will likely be many more accidental shootings by teachers, guns stolen from teachers and used against the innocent, teachers leaving the profession because they don't want to work as police officers, and it still won't protect kids from a mass shooter who enters the school and shoots the teacher first. Did you ever hear the song "There was an old lady who swallowed a fly?" Well, we are already to the point of having swallowed the cow, and we know what comes next.

Please be patient while I open my gun safe to prepare for your visit, as any gracious host would. Please allow me to take your coat and offer you some refreshments. My home is your home. Please make yourself comfortable; as you endure the inconvenience of this unseemly delay?"

If you knew very much about firearms; you would understand that a sidearm is far more deadly, in close quarters, than a AR-15.

I already covered this AR-15s are designed to wound. Sidearms are designed for stopping power.

Remember, the Christian Right are the ones saying teachers can't even be trusted to make up their own lesson plans, and now they suddenly trust them with guns around students?

What if they claim it's against their religion to be armed?

How long until a linebacker punches a 5'-2" teacher in the face, knocks her out, takes her gun, and starts shooting?
