But this is one of those gotcha areas there are no easy answers to.
I'm going to disagree on this.

Just because Jesus healed cured a blind man, doesn't mean He's obligated to cure everyone else.

To his credit, he tried... Luke 9:11 don't you know...

But I'll cut him some slack... after all, he was only human.
I have no idea what point you just made.

"Eternal life" would be a curse, wouldn't it?

How inconvenient -- if only there was a way he could be everywhere at once...

Kinda thought doing something about that was the whole reason he came in the first place...

Indeed... look where easy answers have led...
The original plan was for man to live forever but we have free will and we messed that up now there is a way you can have eternal life

You discredit yourself, AV...
Why, of course I do.
TLK Valentine said:
... are we supposed to pretend not to notice?
I don't think you can notice; as you wouldn't know the difference if I did or not.

If you disagree, let's test it, shall we?

TEST ONE
  • AV1611VET: Jesus walked on water.
Did I just discredit myself?

TEST TWO
  • AV1611VET: Paul mentions four dimensions of space.
Did I just discredit myself?

(Please answer these, so I can say: THANKS FOR THE QED.)

I was using both ends of the spectrum here: Kent Hovind, and Henry M. Morris, who authored the footnotes in the Defender's Bible, which is full of technical notes.

It doesn't matter though, as the more educated a Christian is, the harder he falls in their eyes; as he "should know better."

They will look for the smallest thing ... anything ... to discredit us.

Kent Hovind = Patriot University
Henry Morris = just an engineer
Jonathan Sarfati = should know better

Et cetera.
Those aren't "small things."

Kent Hovind paid $50 for his doctorate and tries to convince people it's a real one.
Henry Morris is just an engineer and his opinions about biology are not necessarily worth more than any other engineer's.
Safarti is the worst offender--he doubles down on what the other two do and should know better than to try.

They lie about the theory of evolution. That is, when they describes it in their writings they misrepresent it, creating a straw man that they can demolish to show how futile the theory of evolution is and how evil those must be who knowingly promote a false theory. Safarti goes even further, when he describes the Information Theory he tries to use to support his position he misrepresents that as well.

It's one thng to declare the theory of evolution false, but quite another thing to lie about its content to try and make the point.

His medical records don't say The patient no longer has asthma
Does that person’s medical records state that asthma is no longer present? Has there been no medical follow up? I had cancer that was cured by surgery and that is so stated I’m my records. However I am still tested every few years and I am still cancer free.

Damned if you do damned if you don't?
They're very good ... very good ... at manufacturing catch-22 scenarios.

Luke 7:33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.
34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!

I love His conclusion:

Luke 7:35 But wisdom is justified of all her children.

(Note: What does "Homo sapiens" mean in English?)

I'm glad the cancer is gone and hope it never comes back. My son just stopped using his inhalers we didn't go to the pediatrician and ask him for documentation.

Nearly all the sciences are under attack by creationists.

And vice versa I might add. My question is why does creation have to be explainable by science? It’s supposed to be a miracle which by definition is not explainable thru science.

Well, God's not going to get a lot of praise from the families of the people he let die... and I can't say I blame them.

That's what happens when fathers play favorites.

But calling it "science" is the only way creationists can justify forcing it on an unwilling public.

Sounds like free will was the problem with God's original plan...

What are the chances He's going to make the same mistake twice?
(Well, three times, if you count Lucifer...)

Oh, I think there's room for disagreement here.

Paul would have something to say about that.

Well, God and his followers can demand praise, to be sure... but being deserving of it is a matter of opinion.
