CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I enjoy both physical reading and listening to audio books. Audiobooks or listening to the Bible is particularly great for driving or while doing something mundane like washing the dishes or painting your nails

I've never listened to an audiobook in my life. I'm considering starting though, but I don't feel like if I did, that I could say "oh yeah I read x" because I wouldn't technically be reading it, but listening to it be read.

It's hard to stay focused while listening to audiobooks for me. When I need to remember all the information I read, I prefer to use paper books (or e-books, but I need to look at words).

I borrow audiobooks, ebooks as well, from Colorado Overdrive which is an online library for members of libraries across the state.

I had a friend that delivered food to stores. He loved listening to audiobooks while driving. I've only done it occasionally because it is somewhat challenging to maintain focus.

I have one going all the time. I borrow them for the state library system online, Overdrive. We have it in CO I don't know about it in other states.

I use Overdrive and Hoopla Digital (both free) and subscribe to Scribd. They have a larger catalog.

I really like to listen to audiobooks because I can listen them during doing repetitive things that don't require thinking. In fact, every ebook can be an audiobook. On mobile phone there are apps that can convert a text into speech. It's really cool

I like listening to David Suchet (Hercule Poirot) read the Bible. It allows me to listen to God's word while multitasking with other things.
About a year ago, I listened to the audiobook of the original "Pinocchio" when I was sick with a cold.
If you thought Disney's version was dark, listen to the original.

I actually never listened to him but heard a lot.
and in general, I think I listen to audiobooks and read book 50/50
but when I have more free time, then of course, I prefer reading
