Conservative Attorney General (under Trump) Bill Barr's new interview

I should say perhaps as relevant to many here at CF: "Conservative Christian Bill Barr". He has written a book about what he saw, and gives an interview.

"Yet the book is just as notable for how much Barr still agrees with the former president. He blames left-wing progressives, not his own party, for dividing the country.

Barr worked for the CIA before his first stint as attorney general under President George H.W. Bush. His book spends much time on the culture wars, accusing radical progressives of dividing the country — making it easier to understand what he saw in Donald Trump.

But after the 2020 election, when Barr couldn't tell Trump what he wanted to hear, the attorney general finally broke with the president.

Barr said the Justice Department found no evidence of any widespread voter fraud in the election. Barr says in his book that he told the president to his face that the stolen election claims were "bull****."

The president angrily accepted Barr's resignation on the spot. He took it back moments later, but Barr resigned for real in December 2020.

"After the election, he didn't seem to listen to anybody except a group of sycophants who were telling him what he wanted to hear," Barr said.

Then there was Trump's infamous phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. In that 2019 call, Zelenskyy appealed for Javelin missiles to defend themselves against Russian tanks, weapons Ukraine now says it needs more of in its fight against the Russian invasion.

Trump (instead of saying 'it's on the way' did something else --) asked Zelenskyy for help in digging up political dirt to use in his reelection. He urged Zelenskyy to talk with his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani and with Barr. Barr says he had nothing to do with it.

"It was an absurd idea and it was pursued in a farcical way," Barr said. "But at the time, I didn't think it was criminal, and I still don't think it was criminal."

In fact, Trump didn't release the aid Congress had already passed to be delivered to Ukraine until after a long delay, to pressure the Ukrainian president.

I watched the interview with Barr last nite on NBC. Barr still seems to be pulling splinters out of his backside from riding that fence so long. He would rather the republican party be a shambles than admit he enabled trump's malfeasance. I'm quite sure his book would put me to sleep.

1. Americans and allies "left behind" in Afghanistan - epic failed "retreat"
2. Energy policies that slanted toward funding Russian invasion of Ukraine leaving US strapped for energy.
3. Nuclear war as the new "news cycle talking points" every week. Along with gas prices going from 4$/Gal on its way to 5$
4. Biden claiming Covid did not come from Wuhan (that bogus claim did not age well).
5. Biden claiming Trump was xenophobic for daring to shut down travel from China over CoViD. (that also did not age well).
6. U.S - Russian relations at an all-time worst
7. Ukraine bombed to pieces, 1.5M refuges flooding Europe from Ukraine - as opposed to a "phone call democrats did not approve of" re-hashed for 3 years.
8. Open borders -- even in this key Nuke-war point where you might wish to block suitcase Nukes from crossing the border.
9. "For real prosecution" of a political opponent after being elected... not just an imagined one where Trump asked if Ukraine was aware of any illegal activity.
10. A president whose own party is fractured over whether his health/capacity is sufficient for him to even complete his term while snoozing along at key moments.
11. A president who was advised not to do any more tiny-scale political rallies for the last 1.5 months of his campaign... just stay at home.

All of these elephants in Biden's living room make that "phone call" and much supposed "delay" of something or other (where they were getting actual weapons and not more of those Biden-Obama blankets) -- is the tiny gnat by comparison.

China invaded India for the same reasons, and they were met by seasoned Indian special forces, and ran out.
China is putting pressure on countries in the Indo Pacific region,and may invade Taiwan any day.
The conflict between Russia and the Ukraine is more of a civil war, that was brought on by American involvement with Burisma.
The southern region of the Ukraine is mainly Russians what cross the border to work every day.
The Ukraine has been allied with Russia even before the Soviet Union.
America has allowed China in every aspect of our lives, from Telecommunication to pharmaceutical Manufacturing, they own most of our cell phone companies, they have mineral rights to most of the raw materials needed for technology in the world.
They acquired a great deal of hardware and mineral rights from Biden pulling out of Afghanistan with no exit strategy..

Barr seemed to hedge a bit on this question. He did admit republicans need to nominate another candidate. But nevertheless, I think the (R) is what is important to guys like him. He named many reasons trump wasn't fit for office yet would still vote for him. And they wonder why their politicians exploit voters. It's unbelievable.

Millions believe Trump' assertion that the election was rigged, stolen via fraudulent voting.

Therefore when Barr, a conservative Christian who was in the administration says:
