According to the 19th century revamps I mentioned, no one had the truth from the very beginning. Like I said, none of the teachers who were taught by those who wrote the New Testament, taught anything like it, and neither did those whom they taught.

And also of the 19th century revamps, which is the one that really came up with the truth? They all tell me I'm going to hell if I don't pick the right one.

With over 40,000 different denominations; I wish you well with that.

Most of those denominations aren't total revamps that say all of Christianity has been wrong since the beginning and everyone who doesn't follow their particular doctrine is going to hell.

In actual fact, 40,000 is an arbitrary number invented in order to apparently embarrass Dissenters. If you eliminate "denominations" with less than 1,000 adherents, then the number of denominations is vastly smaller.

Exactly. And of all the larger denominations, how many say that all others are completely wrong and their way is the only way to heaven? On this forum it's one or perhaps two. I'm not sure if Messianic movement teaches that the rest of Christianity is apostate and bound for hell the way SDA does.

Agreed. I am also unsure about the Messianic movement. There certainly seem to be a wide variety of Messianic groups.

I'll have to talk to my old pastor, Tommy Bertoli. I know he knows a lot about it. Was even mentored by Arnold Fruchtenbaum who's considered a leading expert in Messianic Judaic theology. And even though the church I went to, called Messiah's Christian Fellowship, was supposed to be somewhat Messianic, I don't recall any kind of teaching along those lines. And I know that Tommy argued against sabbatarians on his local call-in radio show. So I need to get all that cleared up.

That's very interesting. When I started questioning the doctrine at my Methodist church; they told me that if I didn't believe what they believed: that I was going straight to Hell.

I took my chances and moved to a Baptist church. Their doctrine didn't line up with the last two denominations that I had studied with; so guess what! I started asking questions again; but I got the same answer as the last time.

Can you show me where you are getting your numbers?
