There is something different about this virus. It’s not just the virus; it’s the era we’re living in, the tragic bias, fear, and inconsistency in our media, our increasingly hostile and polarized ways of interacting with each other, and our crumbling grasp of right and wrong.
There is a far more intensely social dimension to this. I don’t think we’ve yet seen what this will become. But ultimately, it has nothing to do with the virus. I think we’ll all see that once it’s too late.
I don’t expect everyone on here to grasp what I’m saying, or agree. But something is happening here behind and alongside a viral crisis. It goes deeper than physical illness. But physical illness is an amazing cover.
