No SDA has to post the writings of Ellen G White in order to be influenced by her teachings. I believe Ellen G White colors the thinking of SDA adherents to overemphasize the Sabbath based on her false visions.
Here is a written account of the vision by Ellen G White on the Sabbath:
Jesus opened them, and I saw the ten commandments written on them with the finger of God. On one table were four, and on the other six. The four on the first table shone brighter than the other six. But the fourth, the Sabbath commandment, shone above them all; for the Sabbath was set apart to be kept in honor of God's holy name. The holy Sabbath looked glorious -- a halo of glory was all around it. I saw that the Sabbath commandment was not nailed to the cross. If it was, the other nine commandments were; and we are at liberty to break them all, as well as to break the fourth. I saw that God had not changed the Sabbath, for He never changes. But the pope had changed it from the seventh to the first day of the week; for he was to change times and laws .... [Ellen G. White, Early Writings, 1963, p. 32,33.]
In another vision: Ellen says that the
Sabbath is the
"greatest" of the ten.
The pope has changed the day of rest from the seventh to the first day. He has thought to change the very commandment that was given to cause man to remember his Creator. He has thought to change the greatest commandment in the decalogue and thus make himself equal with God, or even exalt himself above God (Ellen G. White, Early Writings, p. 65).
Therefore we can conclude that the SDA interpretation cannot be trusted on Revelation 1:10 in their saying the Lord’s Day is the Saturday Sabbath; Especially when Ellen G. White failed multiple times in dating the end of the world.
What does this have to do with these scriptures written by the finger of GOD not EGW?
Exodus 20:8
“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but t
he seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.
In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who
is within your gates. 11 For
in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that
is in them, and rested the seventh day.
Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
Or this one?
Isaiah 58:13 “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
From doing your pleasure on
My holy day,
And call the Sabbath a delight,
The holy day of the Lord honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking
your own words,
The fact is the Roman Catholic church takes credit for changing God's Sabbath day from Sabbath to Sunday and they admit it did not happen on God's authority as predicted in Daniel 7:25 and warned by Jesus Matthew 15:3-9
The catholic church wants you to know when you go to church on Sunday it is a commandment of the pope, not God.
is well to remind the Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, and all other Christians, that the Bible does not support them anywhere in their observance of
Sunday.
Sunday is an institution of the Roman Catholic Church, and those who observe the day observe a commandment of the Catholic Church.
—Priest Brady, in an address, reported in the Elizabeth, NJ ‘News’ on March 18, 1903.
Protestants ... accept
Sunday rather than Saturday as the day for public worship after the Catholic Church made the change... But the Protestant mind does not seem to realize that ... in observing
Sunday, they are accepting the authority of the spokesman for the Church, the pope.
—Our Sunday Visitor, February 5th, 1950.
Q. Have you any other way of proving that the Church has power to institute festivals of precept?
A. Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her; —she could not have substituted the observance of
Sunday the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday the Seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority.
—Rev. Stephen Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism; New York in 1857, page 174
Question: Which is the Sabbath day?
Answer: Saturday is the Sabbath day.
Question: Why do we observe
Sunday instead of Saturday?
Answer: We observe
Sunday instead of Saturday because the Catholic Church transferred the solemnity from Saturday to
Sunday.
—Rev. Peter Geiermann C.SS.R., The Convert’s Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, p. 50
What I am seeing from your post is you have no scriptural evidence to support Sunday as God's holy day otherwise you would have posted it instead of quoting EGW which no one was quoting here, only God's Word. God bless
