Dear ones,
Let us consider
AGAIN what we have heard:
““
Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me.
Because they hated knowledge
And did not choose THE FEAR OF THE LORD,
They would have none of my
counsel
And despised my every
rebuke.”
Proverbs 1:28-30 NKJV
For we heard:
- Take care then how you hear, for to the one who has, more will be given, and from the one who has not, even what he thinks that he has will be taken away." -Luke 8:18
So let us pay attention to how we heard from the Lord and let still more will be added to us, that is, to perceive and understand what He said to us.
Dear one, let listen to counsel and rebuke of God which speaks to us as sons about THE FEAR OF THE LORD.
This is what we have heard:
“Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit,
perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
II Corinthians 7:1 NKJV
Dear ones, let us perfect holiness in the fear of the Lord that we may call upon the name of the Lord and He will answer us because we have chosen the fear of the Lord.
So dear ones, what promises that are said 2 Corinthians 7:1, that we have that we heard :
“We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain.”
II Corinthians 6:1 NKJV
“For He says:
“In an acceptable time I have heard you,
And in the day of salvation I have helped you.”
Behold, now is the accepted time;
behold, now is the day of salvation.”
II Corinthians 6:2 NKJV
Dear ones,
This promises that was written in 2 Corinthians 6:2 came from the Lord who spoke to prophet Isaiah, have also the promises written in the book of Isaiah 49:8, that said :
“Thus says the Lord:
“In an acceptable time I have heard You,
And in the day of salvation I have helped You; I will preserve You and give You
As a covenant to the people,
To restore the earth,
To cause them to inherit the desolate heritages;”
Isaiah 49:8 NKJV
So dear ones, our Heavenly Father, the Lord have heard His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord for help and our Heavenly Father has heard and said in the day of salvation, He has helped our Lord Jesus Christ to raise Him from the dead.
This is what we have heard:
“who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications,
with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His GODLY FEAR,
though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.
And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek,” of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.”
Hebrews 5:7-11 NKJV
Since our Lord Jesus Christ became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek. This is what our Heavenly Father said that He will preserve Christ Jesus our Lord and give Christ as a covenant to us, His people, to restore the earth, to cause us to inherit the desolate heritages which God promised to Christ Jesus.
So dear ones, what we heard in Isaiah 49:8 is
the grace of God toward our Lord Jesus Christ and
also toward us, His people. So dear ones, let us not take in vain the grace of God that raised our Jesus Christ from the dead.
For we heard :
“who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of
His godly fear, though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.”
Hebrews 5:7-8 NKJV
Dear one, let us imitate our Lord Jesus Christ, as we heard:
“
Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.
And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.”
Ephesians 5:1-2 NKJV
Apostle Paul gave us affirmation when he said,
Behold, now is the accepted time;
behold, now is the day of salvation.”
