"Abiding in the vine" is to be born again.

The VINE is symbolic for/as The Christ, and to be IN the VINE, is to be "In Christ", born again, as "One with God".
This is the born again Spirit that "Abides" IN......the Vine., which is symbolic for The Christ.

Finding perfected discipleship is to never be this one...: "apart from Me you can do nothing".

So, if a born again is always "in Christ", "One with God"< , which is how you always abide "in the VINE", then how can you still find yourself as : "apart from me, you can do nothing'< as Jesus also teaches regarding the born again?

Very simple...

All things with God , and all things with Salvation, are God caused and God given as a Gift.

Salvation is a Gift.
Righteousness is a Gift.
You have the GIFTS of the Spirit that God's gives.
Prayers answered, is God giving you the solution on earth.

So.........What about living holy and having a perfected discipleship???, or as Paul teaches...>"Christ always GIVES ME ... the Victory" and "being Made free, from sin".
Reader, notice carefully who is doing that for Paul? Its not Paul doing it.

Its the same GOD.. who saved Him with the Blood of Jesus.
And You have it also..... IF you are born again, AND learn to exist IN the Power of God, that does it for you and through you.
This is the renewed mind.
See that, reader?
This is why Paul, the apostle to the gentiles said...>"when i am WEAK, then >i am< strong"...
Notice something interesting.....>>He says......"I am" ...strong.
Reader, "I am" is God's title for Himself. Its Jesus saying...>"before Abraham was...I AM".
See that? So, that is Paul saying that "i am" is the power of GOD in Him that is the power of 'Victory", that is found only when Paul is not trying to be the power, and is "weak".
That means...>"when you stop trying to be the power, then God become the power in you as GRACE...who achieves the holiness for you.
This is a vital part of the 'gift of Salvation" that most do not realize, because they are taught that you are to be resisting and striving in YOUR POWER< and that is the power of failure.
Paul tells you to put on the "whole armor of God", and most believers and all "religious but lost", are trying to be it, instead.
= FAIL, in all cases.

See, salvation is not just forgiven sin and eternal security as Eternal LIFE found by being 'in Christ"..., its actually God's total provision for the empowering of the holy Life that He wants all His born again Redeemed to live as their real faith that is CHRISTianity.

God both starts and completes our salvation.
He provided the Cross, He provides the power to live holy, He provides the New Body, and He provides the very end of your salvation.... which is to be "conformed into the image of Christ" totally.
Philippians 1:6
Our part is to receive it and exist within it, correctly, at all times in the right mind of real faith.
Even our faith is completed by Christ...... who is the "author and finisher....of....our....faith"
Hebrews 12:2

Salvation is all of GOD.

Discipleship is all of you, with God's empowerment.
To live in that empowerment is to exist in the renewed mind, : as resting in the Grace of God at all times, that IS the "Victory".

"Abiding in the vine" is to be born again.

As abiding is a process and being born again is an event how are they the same thing? Are you not incorrectly conjoining the two words together so that you can maintain the OSAS stance you've taken in your other threads?

Hmm, notice the context of the verse..
Its this word... "IN".

See that word.....that is the context, or how its done.

To abide IN, the Vine.

How do you get inside a vine?
How do you get inside Jesus, who is the Vine?

Jesus says...."you must be born again".

This means that you must become IN spiritual union with God's Spirit. And once this happens, by a believer becoming a "new Creation, IN CHRIST"....
See that "IN"...."IN Christ". "ONE with GOD......IN Christ".

That is how you abide IN The Vine.

That is how you abide IN The Vine.
And yet, it remains an on-going process, Hmmm....
1 John 2:
24
Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.
25 And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.
26 These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you.
27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and
you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you
concerning all things, and is true,
and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you,
you will abide in Him.

The true abiding remains for as long as you are born again.
That's how long a born again abides as "in Christ". (In the Vine).
That will last for as long as God lives.

Abiding 101
John 15:
4
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless
it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

5 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him,
bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered;
and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire,
and it shall be done for you.

8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

If someone believes the Gospel, they are born again and receive the promise of the Spirit.
If they do not abide in that Spirit, they bear no fruit and wither. Not because they were
not born again, but because they failed to abide, and did nothing fruitful.
That's the true vine. Honestly, your posts would have much more clarity if you stuck
with what Christ and John the beloved apostle wrote, and less of your own interpretations,
which ramble and lack a concise presentation.

To lost faith in Christ and try to do works as the self effort of abiding, as you falsely teach MinisterMonardo, is to become this....>"Apart from me you can do nothing".
Just to clarify for you, I believe that abiding in Christ is correctly described here:
Philippians 2:
12
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now
much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

If the Lord is not working in and through you to bear much fruit for the glory of His Father,
then you are a dry branch.
You are quick to label things as "works, and self-effort that denies faith". Is that what you would
say of Paul's teaching here? Or is he saying that faith grows, in "faithfulness" when God is working.
Is this why James said "faith without works is dead." Surely he did not mean "self-effort".

John 5:17 Jesus answered them, My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.
Do you see that? If God is working, we too must be working, even on the Sabbath!
Luke 6:9 Jesus said to them, I will ask you one thing: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do
good or to do evil, to save life or
to destroy?

Let Paul clarify for you ...

"Everything that is not of faith, is sin".

So, all your self effort to prove to yourself that you are "spiritual", will continue to have no root.

See, when you try to "be good" and "do good" to be accepted by God, or as you teach...>"self abide" in the vine, you find yourself with a Legalism problem that you need to realize, asap.
As until you do, you are stuck in this... Galatians 5:4
