30Jesus asked him, saying, “What is your name?”
And he said, “Legion,” because many demons had entered him. 31And they begged Him that He would not command them to go out into the abyss.

Is the Abyss inside Jesus Christ, that would be the one place they could do no harm and he is fire is that what the lake of fire is will they spend eternity inside God being tormented. We know Jesus is the Fathers bosom.

No, in Jesus there is no demon.

Mark 3:

28
Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
29
But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.
30
Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

Who said he has an unclean spirit or a demon certainly not myself.

I've heard it said that the sea of galilee was associated with the abyss. Apparently they were given leave to go there instead of what would have happened if they were properly exorcised.

God don't torture people (much less for eternity) .... that is a awful teaching.

In Revelation 20; John describes an angel who binds Satan with a great chain and throws him in the abyss. The term abyss in Scripture can be the grave, death, destruction, and the prison of the demons (Rom 10:7, Luke 8:31).

Agreed. It is the question here by the demons that needs good translation .
It is my belief that question is two fold:
1. They know that Jesus has all power over them. So they beg not to be thrown into the Abyss before the pre-determined time [the End of all Time].
So Jesus shows them mercy by throwing them into a nearby herd of swine, which then runs over a nearby cliff, thus destroying themselves.
The fact that a herd of swine just happens to be nearby the town means that someone in that town is not Jewish, or else is secretly keeping that herd outside of the city.
2. By throwing those demons into the herd, Jesus also exposes the former secret of the herd's existence to everyone who is watching. It's a very subtle reminder to everyone who is there that no sin is hidden to Jesus' sight.
He sees and knows everything.
