Haha, that's not what I said, because I'm not claiming there are police from 2 centuries ago that are still alive, the problem is social influences and trends that haven't been addressed meaningfully, because 1) qualified immunity and 2) outdated norms that people think, such as the thin blue line as it was originally used (suggesting that police are all that keep us from anarchy)

Have you given any thought at all to the number of black officers, the number of black people in command positions in the police, the number of departments with black chiefs, your opinions just are not reflected by the times.

I am quite confident that it is a well known fact that Black people commit crime at a substantially higher rate than other races and that has everything to do with why they are contacted by police at a disproportionate rate.

But they do have qualified immunity, which lets them get away with abuses of power that a citizen cannot unless they are extremely wealthy. The problems have been there, we just haven't addressed them in an efficient manner taking into account that some of it won't change just because we change legislation

That doesn't mean there cannot be systemic racism enabled by black people, or have you NEVER heard of internalized racism and enabling behavior?

You do not understand the law, qualified immunity applies only if the officer is doing the job in accordance with the law and the policies of the department.

History has very little to do with current conditions which are not proven to be motivated by systemic racism

Where is the evidence for this systemic racism, I have asked several times, I keep hearing about it but I have yet to see any evidence that it exists, where is the evidence.
