The people arrested have mostly been charged with TRESPASSING, not with violent crimes. My point was that this was a mostly non-violent protest (closer to a sit in). If you want to know what a VIOLENT protest looks like, watch a BLM protest with burning cars and looted businesses and lots of armed civilians.

To call this an insurrection is nonsense. It was the least well armed and least violent attempt to “overthrow a government” in history. It was a protest of perceived voting fraud (right or wrong).

They came with pipe bombs, guns, pipes, bats, handcuffs, pepper spray and riot gear. They hunted for members of congress and the VP, and they murdered people. That's not a "protest", that's a riot and an insurrection. Your excuses for it are simply disgusting IMO.

Every other candidate in my lifetime has simply conceded the election they lost. Trump is simply a narcissistic putz and so are his cult followers who commit violence in his name.

Let’s talk about the deaths:


Brian Sicknick: Capitol Police officer brawling with protestors was struck with a fire extinguisher and later died of complications from the head injury.

Ashli Babbitt: Air Force Veteran and Trump supporter shot and killed for climbing through a window (excessive force investigation currently under way).

Kevin D. Greeson: A 55 year old husband that believed the election had been stolen and was standing on the west side of the Capitol Building (outside) and talking to his wife on the phone when he suffered a heart attack.

Rosanne Boyland: A 34 year old Trump supporter that was crushed between protesters and police as the crowd attempted to push through.

Benjamin Philips: A 50 year old Trump supporter that sold stuffed kangaroos dressed like Trump who died of a stroke.

THESE are the facts concerning the actual deaths of the real people that made up this mythical “armed insurrection”. No deaths by gunshots except from the Police! No bombs. No burning buildings. Lots of shouting and pushing and a few people brawling with the police. Then a crowd of trespassers acting like fools.

You seem to have problems understanding the difference between one man having pipe bombs in a truck two blocks away and 10,000 people pushing past the Capitol police to trespass in the building in which the only shooting was the police shooting an unarmed protester climbing through a window.

You are ignoring the inconvenient facts about what really happened. Yes the trespassers should be charged with trespassing and the vandals should be charged with vandalism and the person/persons that assaulted the officer should be charged with manslaughter (or whatever charge is appropriate to their intent). However an unarmed mob pushing past the police is not an armed insurrection.

That particular person, black or white, isn't as important to understanding the incident as that there are beginning to be a number of non-Trump people apprehended as part of the mob that did actually assault the Capitol--posers, infiltrators, professional rioters--who used (as you may have noticed right away from the videos) techniques typical of Antifa but not of outraged mobs in general.

And along with the proof that the President' speech literally COULD NOT HAVE inspired any group hearing it to have then attacked the Capitol, the fact that all of this was not as was first reported in the media is becoming clear.

Is this the same as the evidence of massive voter fraud?

Yes. Would it have gotten as much coverage in the national news as a riot at the nation's Capitol? Probably not.

I didn’t know that about him. I did know that he was the Police officer killed and from all reports a happy and positive guy. No argument from me that whoever struck him in the head with a fire extinguisher was completely in the wrong to do so and should and likely will be prosecuted for his crime.

Once again you miss the not so subtle difference between

• The crowd had bombs but did not use them.
• The crowd did not have bombs but one man in a truck two blocks away did have bombs.

There is an Armory with tanks located in Washington. That was nearby as well, so should we just go ahead and claim that the people drove tanks into the Capitol building?

Why let a few blocks or reality spoil the narrative?

Arrest people for what they had and what they did, not for what they did not have but could have had if things had been different and what they did not do. The police did the shooting, not the crowd. The crowd did the vandalism and they did it without any bombs.
