Has the Holy Spirit explicitly led you to keep the Sabbath?

Sabbath was instituted PRIOR SIN...and as He affirmed made for ALL...not just Jews as written "the strangers within thy gates" the ONLY living oracle THAT inclusive of those NOT of Jacob...the irony...

thus Sabbath is NOT a Law as much as a description of Him His Ways...to which we will return after this detour of sin is over...

work 7 days a week or have others do the same for you and realize a day off indeed is a MORAL RIGHT and unalienable...given to us by our Creator...

no ritual needed...as it was when we were MADE IN HIS IMAGE to do AS HE DID...

We were made in His image and cannot possibly do as He did so that’s no kind of explanation.

changed back to the original you mean...with the ministration of the original High Priest?

a change of the administration of the Law does NOT mean a change of the Law...does the U S Constitution change between Presidential administrations? (well lately MAYBE...lol)

the heart was ALWAYS intended to be cut...circumcision symbolized that...

we were to submit ourselves as living sacrifices...

had that been the case prior there would not be a need for circumcision OR sacrifice...

and yet there remains the SABBATH given PRIOR the need for either...a sabbatsimos for His people...MADE IN HIS IMAGE...and FINALLY His people re-made again to those factory installed manufacturer's settings...

The commandment from God had nothing to do with circumcision of the heart it was a commandment to cut away the foreskin. Your just trying to make an excuse because you certainly wouldn’t want to admit that God abolished one of His laws. We’ll if you agreed to that you might have to admit that this could happen again like at the council of Nicea for example and we know you surely wouldn’t want to admit that.

Big deal Jesus mentioned the Sabbath. He didn’t say anything about it must be kept.
Had the siege been on the Sabbath the gates would have been closed thus no one could escape. I cannot find in the old covenant the law that would keep a person form saving their lives on their Sabbath. Using that verse to prove the Sabbath requirement is part of the new covenant is bologna.

The one thing that really gets me is the very same men at the same council at the same time who canonized the Bible are the very same men who declared it is acceptable to worship on Sunday. I mean if you can trust these men to determine which books are inspired by God and which ones aren’t they why wouldn’t you be able to trust them when they say Sunday worship is acceptable?

Perhaps you should read Acts 15.
Perhaps you should consider context. The context of Acts 15 is over the question of Mosaic law of circumcision being a requirement for salvation or not. The shadow law of circumcision is not one of God's 10 commandments. This is the context and the question being discussed in Acts 15 see *Acts 15:1-2. There is no scripture that says anyone of God's 10 commandments are abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day. This is a teaching and tradition of men that is not biblical handed down from the Romans empire through to Christianity from the Roman Catholic Church in fulfillment of the prophecy in Daniel 7:25. It is not something to be taken lightly. We are talking one of God's 10 commandments that give us the knowledge of what sin is *Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4. According to the scripture those who knowingly practice sin when God has given them a knowledge of the truth of His Word and they reject it will not enter into God's Kingdom because they reject the gift of God's dear son and count the blood of the covenant an unholy thing *Hebrews 10:26-31; Romans 6:23; Acts of the Apostles 17:30-31; Matthew 15:3-9.

That did not happen at the same times. Perhaps you need to study it through more.

Big deal Jesus mentioned the Sabbath. He didn’t say anything about it must be kept.

He didn't have to say anything about it must be kept...it was NEVER QUESTIONED...He didn't say they had to keep eating food or breathing either...Sabbath keeping is that NATURAL to His followers...

It is a big deal that of all He commanded we observe He didn't say to pray in future times of trouble that one NOT worship another god, NOT make images, NOT blaspheme His name, NOT dishonor parents, OR NOT kill, commit adultery, steal, lie or covet...

Just that prayers be prayed that their flight NOT be on the Sabbath as again "RUN TO THE HILLS!" is NOT in keeping of the Sabbath spirit of things...

yup A BIG DEAL...again NO prayers instructed for people's lives to be preserved either...or that the Temple be spared...

Just that the Sabbath remain a Holy day of rest...a BIG DEAL

oh and winter times...Yahushua expected winter times to continue too...far into the future...those times of His were NOT changed...Sabbath or winter...

Just a minute ago it was all about God’s moral laws and the 10 commandments and now your saying we have to keep the dietary laws to?
LOL...I am not saying it...just read what was concluded in the text that you posted...3 dietary Laws ALREADY in Leviticus for "strangers within they gates"...REMEMBER them from the Sabbath commandment?

Or do you really expect that draining the blood out of DOG MEAT made it suitable fellowship potlucks at the synagogues after hearing Moses on Sabbath...?

"BUT BUT BUT MOISHE...I made sure this rats in this rat stew were NOT strangled"...LOL

You can’t even keep your story straight. Your just picking and choosing to keep whatever commandments you want and ignoring the ones you don’t want to keep. And you have the audacity to point your fingers at other Christians claiming they’re not honoring God? Amazing.
Just read your bible...Acts 15

Remember Peter said NOTHING about being able to eat cats rats or wombats after his vision but that the dirty goyim actually were NOT...and should be given the HOPE of Israel...the PROMISE they wanted to keep for themselves...as if His House of prayer was NOT for ALL nations...that WHOSOEVER believes shall NOT perish but live in this life and the NEXT...and free from unclean meats...lol

or do you expect we gonna eat pigs in heaven too? or in the new world?

We were made in His image and cannot possibly do as He did so that’s no kind of explanation.

If we claim to abide in Him we must live as He did...Love as He did...and thus fulfill the Law...

and when we don't...we miss...we keep at it...until we overcome...run the race...persevere to the end...

just like when I play tennis I do foul or break rules but in the end I repent and keep playing...always improving and TRYING TO KEEP...

never SINLESS but certainly sin less...

IN CHRIST we are covered and SEEN AT JUDGEMENT AS SINLESS

BECAUSE WE ARE IN HIM...but NOT all that cry LORD! LORD! but those that DO the Will of His Father...which is made clear...

Here are they that keep the commandments of Yah and have the faith OF Yahushua...

ALL of them or 9/10ths...what is the faith OF Yahushua...Buddhism? Islam? Hindu? Catholic? Prostestant? Jewish? pagan?...

Live as He did...LOVE as HE LOVED US...do THIS and live...and when we are restored to Manufacturer's installed default settings...re-made into His Image His Ways...

HalleluYah

The commandment from God had nothing to do with circumcision of the heart it was a commandment to cut away the foreskin.
Egyptians circumcised at that time...were they SAVED? His people? Of those circumcised in Israel how many still were lost? ironically judged AS UNCIRCUMCISED OF HEART...Muslims circumcise today are they SAVED...His people? Do the live as He did...LOVE as He loved us?

Of course circumcision is NOT the ONLY measure of SALVATION as what would women do?

Your just trying to make an excuse because you certainly wouldn’t want to admit that God abolished one of His laws. We’ll if you agreed to that you might have to admit that this could happen again like at the council of Nicea for example and we know you surely wouldn’t want to admit that.
admit to MAN changing both His times and Laws...CLAIMING to be inspired? sure I can easily admit men do that...it's an ancient tradition of MAN...claiming to be able to worship Him with a golden calf even...

they REJECT what was made for them at creation...to make their own creation...

Had the siege been on the Sabbath
as it was the Roman army arrived 66 AD at which time most remembering His warning left...the actual siege lasted for months...

Even in the midst of the Roman siege (April – September 70 AD), there were Jews who found safety when they escaped to the Romans, as “Titus let a great number of them go away into the country, whither they pleased” (Wars 5.10.1). Later in the siege Josephus said this:
“Many also of the other nobility went over to the Romans, together with the high priests. Now Caesar not only received these men very kindly in other respects, but, knowing they would not willingly live after the customs of other nations, he sent them to Gophna, and desired them to remain there for the present, and told them, that when he was gotten clear of this war, he would restore each of them to their possessions again; so they cheerfully retired to that small city which was allotted them, without fear of any danger” (Wars 6.2.2).

Did All of the Judean Christians Flee to Pella?

Maybe read more historical accounts to get a better perspective as to what Yahushua understood about coming wars and times of trouble...

and the gates would have been closed thus no one could escape.
right...during a 4 year war and months long siege the gates were ONLY closed on the Sabbath...LOL

I cannot find in the old covenant the law that would keep a person form saving their lives on their Sabbath.
maybe some more history?

The principal sources of our historical information about this ritual piety are the Apocryphal Books of the Maccabees and the works of Josephus Flavius. In I Maccabees (2:29-37), we find the following narrative about a Greek attack on the Jews:

The [Greeks] arose, suddenly, to fall upon [the Jews] on Shabbat, saying to them: How long will you refuse to obey the king . . . . And the men in their midst did not raise their hands to hurl a stone or to silence them . . . and they fell upon them on Shabbat and killed all those in the cave . . . about 1,000 people.

The deaths of 1,000 Jewish men, women, and children prompted Matthias and the Maccabees to respond. They decided, the text continues, that if they were again attacked on Shabbat, they would fight a defensive battle:

They said to one another: If we all act as our brothers have, and refuse to defend our lives and beliefs, we will shortly be destroyed. They decided on that day: Whosoever will attack us on Shabbat, we will fight back; we will not die like our brothers in the caves.

Jewish Ideas Daily » Daily Features » Warfare on Shabbat: The Legacy of the Maccabees

Using that verse to prove the Sabbath requirement is part of the new covenant is bologna.
but is it kosher bologna? lol

Obviously Yahushua's understanding about times of trouble war and siege had Him instruct that during those times the Sabbath be remembered as a day of rest...STILL

He obviously knew it would take more than ONE day to level the Temple...

Most people understand that...until they remember the Sabbath and suddenly they seek to forget all else to claim gates were closed JUST ON ONE DAY during a war and seige...lol

"Tiberius!!! We came all this way from Rome and the gates are LOCKED!!!"

"Yes yes Titus! They lock the gates on Sabbath to keep the Christians inside"

"Does this mean we have to come back tomorrow when the gates are open"

"Yes yes I suppose it does...those annoying customs not lawful for Romans to receive or observe"

LOL

but seriously of ALL the commandments to remember during times of trouble war and siege and "RUN TO THE HILLS!" He chooses to instruct prayers be said that the Sabbath remain a HOLY day of rest...

not even prayers to preserve lives...or spare the Temple...but that the Sabbath be a day of Holy rest...

a sabbatismos indeed remains for His people...long into the future...

I'm not separating Gods law, He did. God wrote with His finger the 10 commandments on stone. Why would you want to break any of these laws? Do you think its okay to murder? lie? cheat? steal? These are all Gods laws. Why would you think the 4th commandment to be any different.

Gods law is His moral law. They are not separate "the 10 commandments" The first 4 commandments written on one tablet on how we should honor, obey and love God. The last 6 on another tablet how we should treat and love one another.
Danger, danger, roadblock dead ahead.

Your saying, Imge, that a Christian only needs to obey the ten commandments.

The apostles did not tell the gentiles that they only needed to obey the ten commandments. Here is what the apostles actually told the gentiles that they must obey.

Acts 15:20
But that we write to them that they abstain from things contaminated by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood.

Are you saying that gentiles no longer should abstain from eating blood?

If you are, then you are contradicting the apostles. Is eating meat with the blood content in tact. A moral issue or just a throw away rule?

Seems like dietary laws are moral laws, are God's law written on stone.

You have a very narrow definition of sin.

So it's o.k to get drunk, commit sorcery, eat like a glutton. God now allows gluttony, the love of money, worldliness, e.t.c. Because these are not defined as sin by God's law.

Kidnapping, prostitution, drug abuse, are acceptable now as that is not coveting the oxen.

Because the church has declared by the guidance of the Holy Spirit that it is acceptable to worship on Sunday. The very same men who canonized the scriptures at the very same council where both of these took place at the same time. This isn’t the first time the Holy Spirit has abolished one of God’s commandments.
The Church is not God's Word and anything that contradicts the scriptures leading people to break Gods' commandments is not from God neither is it biblical.

Keeping the Sabbath is not a moral law it’s a ritual.
Nope. All of God's 10 commandments are moral laws of our duty of Love to God and our fellow man. God's 4th commandment is a "memorial" (remember) moral law of our duty of Love to God.

That’s not a commandment to keep the Sabbath. That’s the reason they must abstain from idolatry, fornication, eating what has been strangled or blood.

“Therefore it is my judgment that we do not trouble those who are turning to God from among the Gentiles, but that we write to them that they abstain from things contaminated by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood. For Moses from ancient generations has in every city those who preach him, since he is read in the synagogues every Sabbath."”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭15:19-21‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬
Acts 15:19-21 Therefore it is my judgment that we do not trouble those who are turning to God from among the Gentiles, but that we write to them that they abstain from things contaminated by idols and from fornicat | New American Standard Bible - NASB 1995 (NASB1995) | Download The Bible App Now
The Sabbath is God' 4th commandment of the 10 commandments. You can find it in Exodus 20:8-11. Where does it say in Acts 15 that it is talking about the Sabbath or anyone of God's 10 commandment? If you cannot show me why are you telling us Acts 15 is about the 10 commandments when the context of Acts 15:1-2 shows that that question being discussed was "Is circumcision from the laws of Moses a requirement for salvation" *Acts 15:1-5?
