Hi there,
So I posted this thread about the difference between faith and works, and I didn't get a single reply - so I thought I would take the tangential subject and clarify - for our sakes, if anyone - how long or far you can ignore the relationship between faith and works: before you get into trouble. The answer is simply this:
This can be remedied, by the interposition of the Holy Spirit, who endures day and night to deliver the bretheren. If the Holy Spirit, is diminished by a question, He still has an answer; if the Holy Spirit is forced to remain silent, He has a comfort (in Christ, but also, for us).
The point is, that as much as we try to impress the importance of faith in works, to our brothers and sisters, it is ultimately not up to us whether they hear us or not - I am learning this, as I write - but is an example of what Jesus suffered, when even His disciples did not understand that He was One with God.
There is an extension of faith, in this that bears mentioning also: Jesus said He would make those who were a synagogue of Satan worship the true disciples and to know that Jesus loved them. If Jesus causes those who lie, to worship those who do not, how much more will the Holy Spirit force the unworking to appreciate the works of those who do and to publically confess the same faith that the Holy Spirit had in the believer for the sake of those works. We cannot be stopped - that is the aim!
Jesus is pleased, with all this, because He wants to be known as One, in the God WHO IS ONE ()
Thanks, for being with me in this; my praise for you in Christ, grows ever stronger, the more we discover the fruit of the Holy Spirit in each of us!
