Now that's where it gets confusing because scientifically speaking humans are animals. We're different from them in some ways but we're not in other ways.
Well what you know. We are close enough on that one, I gave you an agree. ;)

Neither as you already know. God had completely finished with creating animals then he made humans.

I know no such thing.

We are: Vertebrate -- mammal -- ape: Human

I like the man's style, but he's wrong in a lot of stuff.

I'm too old to be familiar with his science show for kids. I doubt he's as wrong as you think.

No, I just think it's amusing that you think the conception of science derived from theology.

You think the people who developed science were godless?

That's not what I said. I reject the notion that *theology* is source material for science, not that believers didn't contribute to the early development of science and its methods.

Well, you did have biblical cosmology before modern science and Augustine, etc...

I think it's safe to say that science as a field of study took its cues from many a theologian.

But the biblical cosmology, which is basically Babylonian cosmology, is utterly wrong, and was not in any sense of the word scientific. In fact, roughly contemporary thinkers using more empirical methods knew that the earth was a sphere and not a roughly flat disk or plate with a dome above it.

In the ancient sense "cosmology" is a description of the cosmos (or all that exists), the modern science is more properly call "physical cosmology".

Not to mention that, it was due to people believing that they were created into a world separate from themselves--one they could objectify, which made scientific thought possible.

I've heard claims like this before, but never found them compelling in the least. Other societies developed the rudiments of scientific discovery and process. (Ancient Chinese, Greeks, and Romans, to name just a few, made significant progress toward an empirical understanding of somethings.)

Whether you believe it incorrect or not, it definitely set the framework.

Okay, so, they weren't godless, then were they? They held the same basic view of being in a created world.

Have you heard of pagan theology?

Can't we all just get along? There's a pandemic, rioting, and in a few days it'll be the anniversary of very tragic event. :( Does it really matter who's right and who's wrong? Why can't we all just be friends? :)

Yes, of course I have, but like the theology of the Abrahamic religions, I really don't care about it. It is dull and boring.
