...
I believe a Biblical Day is from sunset to sunset. Leviticus 23:32 says to keep God’s Sabbath ‘from evening to evening.' In Genesis 1, we see that the pattern God gave us for a day was from evening (night) until daylight. Also, I believe the Scriptures teach that there are 12 hours of daylight hours in a day (as Jesus says) and there are 4 watches for the night. Now, the hour of a day is not like our hours of a day consisting always of 60 minutes. The minutes of an hour could be less or more based on the amount of daylight time available. But the minutes of that day would be divided by segments of 12. These segments were 12 segments (i.e. 12 hours); See the following link:
Explaining the Jewish Hour.
I also now believe that Passover was an holy convocation (A Sabbath). This also revealed to me that the 14th Passover (also known as the 1st Day of Unleavened Bread) was celebrated by Jesus with a New Testament celebration or ordinance. I remember fighting against this idea very strongly in the past before because I wanted the sacrifices to take place at the exact time Jesus was sacrificed. Yes, it is true, the Pharisees sacrificed lambs on what they call "the Preparation Day." But the Pharisees were celebrating the Passover a day late and they had the wrong day. One of the best articles I ever read that revealed this truth to me was here:
The Passover is a Feast and a Holy Convocation.
(Note: Please take note that the author is more Messianic or Jewish, and they believe that the Old Testament Passover is still in effect; When I do not believe that to be the case).
Important Note: The Nisan the 14th Passover is no longer binding for believers under the New Covenant. The Lord’s supper is suggested that it was celebrated weekly in the Scriptures on a Sunday or the 1st day of the week. Here is a great article on this (if you are interested).
Should We Celebrate the Lord’s Supper Every Sunday in Church?
Important Note 2: When reading this timeline, please remember that the Jewish day or the Biblical calendar day begins at night time (when the sun has already set) and it ends the next following time of when the sun sets again. In other words, our calendar day is from Midnight to Midnight, whereas their calendar day is from sunset (night time) to sunset (night time). Night time begins a new day. I have mixed the Jewish day with our secular day. For example: The Jewish's first day of the week, would be the equivalent of our Sunday.

The Passion Timeline:
Jewish 5th Day of the Week, Nisan the 9th, Night.
(Our Thursday Night).
~ Foreshadow of the Resurrection:
Jesus spends the night in Bethany with Lazarus and others. This is six days prior to the time of when Jesus will be crucified. (Day 1) 9th (Day 2) 10th (Day 3) 11th (Day 4) 12th (Day 5) 13th (Day 6) 14th. Jesus’s visit to Lazarus again on the 9th of Nisan can be viewed as symbolic of what was to come (Which is Christ’s resurrection). For Jesus had raised Lazarus from the dead on a previous visit to him. The meaning behind the number 9 is: “the fruits of the Spirit.” Romans 8:11 says, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”; And Romans 8:22-23 says, “For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.”
Jewish 7th Day of the Week, Nisan the 10th, Day.
(Our Saturday, Day).
~ Christ’s Triumphal Entry:
~ Saturday Weekly Sabbath (No Servile Work was to be done):
This was when the Passover sacrifice was inspected (i.e. when Christ rode in on a donkey and he went to the Temple). Exodus 12:3 says that this is the day that the Passover was to be inspected. The people of Jerusalem had cheered and had thrown down palm branches. The 10th is significant because it is related to the number 10 in the Bible, meaning the Law. Scripture says, “For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh.” (Romans 8:3) (NIV).

(No Servile Work was to be done):
~ Jesus Celebrates New Testament Last Supper Ordinance on the Passover:
~ Jesus Takes on Our Sins in the Garden of Gethsemane:
~ Hour Comes When Jesus is Betrayed into the Hands of Sinners:
At the beginning of Nisan the 14th at evening, the Passover also known as the 1st Day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread begins. Jesus celebrates a New Testament Passover Supper on the 14th Passover, also known as the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The next day, the Pharisees kept their Passover in the following evening at the wrong time (Preparing the sacrifices in the afternoon hours leading up to what they believed was the Passover feast) (See article link above to learn more). Jesus held this special New Covenant Celebration (the last supper) at the time of traditional Passover. Scripture says, "And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins" Unleavened bread is a part of the Passover feast. It was important to purge out all leaven for the Passover. For leaven was a symbol of sin and it needed to be put out of one’s home for the the Passover feast. This Passover is Christ, for Jesus is our Passover Lamb. Scripture says, “Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us” (1 Corinthians 5:7).
Also, Jesus takes on the sins of the entire world in the Garden of Gethsemane. The Father gives Christ the cup that has all our sins within in it and he sweats great drops of blood. Scripture says he bore our sins within His body.
After, Jesus takes upon our sins within His body, the hour then shortly comes when Jesus is betrayed into the hands of sinners by Judas (Matthew 26:45). He is then arrested and is judged by two Jewish high priests.

Jesus is judged by Pilate (a Roman) early in the morning. He is then whipped and mocked. After six hours have past from the starting point of the previous night of the 1st hour of when Christ is betrayed into the hands of sinners (1st hour: Matthew 26:45) (Sixth hour: John 19:14): Pilate sets Jesus before a Jewish audience and says to them, “Behold your king!” Then at 9:00AM (third hour): Jesus is crucified. Darkness within the sky comes upon the land at 12:00PM (sixth hour). Then at 3:00PM (ninth hour) Jesus dies and He becomes our Passover Lamb, Christ is sacrificed for us (man). Christ who knew no sin was made to be sin for us (man). His innocent blood pays the penalty for man’s bondage or slavery to sin so as to offer man the free gift. Christ is our Passover Lamb that takes place on the Passover Day, which is the 14th. The number 14 is related to the number 4 within the Bible. The number in the Bible means “Creation” (Man). Abraham’s attempt to sacrifice Isaac (A type of the cross) is then followed by the promise of descendants as being like the stars of the heavens. The fourth day of the week (Wednesday) is when Christ was crucified. The fourth day is when God created stars in the sky within the creation week in Genesis 1 (like Abraham’s descendants being like the stars of the heavens). The 3 points of the cross are the three persons of the Trinity with the end in the ground stuck within the ground (creation). Man was created out of the earth. (1) Father (2) Son (3) Holy Ghost (4) Man (creation). John 3:16, which is the famous gospel verse of the Bible can be broken down to see God desiring to connect with man. The number 3 in John 3:16 is like: (1) Father (2) Son (3 Holy Ghost; And the number 16 in John 3:16 can be broken down into the number 4. That is 4 X 4 = 16. So John 3:16 is God connecting with man numerically. John 3:16 sums up what Christ had done for us on the Passover. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16). One of last words said by Jesus before He died, was, “it was finished.” Meaning: He has paid the price for sin for every man so that Jesus can offer man the free gift of salvation if they believe on Him. Now, men can be forgiven by coming to Him directly. How fitting are the words of John the Baptist here, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the entire world.”
Jewish 5th Day of the Week, Nisan the 15th, Night.

~ Jesus in the Heart of the Earth, Night #1:
At sundown, is a feast of unleavened bread (This would be the second day of the feast of unleavened bread within the 7 Day Passover and not the first day as many falsely assume) (See article link above to learn more). At sundown, the 15th Begins the Passover meal and the eating of unleavened bread) by the Pharisees. This was Pharisee's Feast Day of the Passover / Unleavened Bread. This was a Holy Day for them and no servile work was to be done this day according to their false traditions (Which effected business markets, etc.) Scripture says, “Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.” (1 Corinthians 5:8).

~ 2nd Day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread
~ High Sabbath according to the Pharisee's traditions:
Passover / Feast of Unleavened Bread - High Holy Sabbath Day according to the Jews. No servile work could be done on this day according to their traditions. Mary could not buy spices to anoint Jesus on this day because it was a High Holy day or High Sabbath according to the Pharisee’s misguided traditions. Shops and markets would have been closed, so she could not go out and buy any spices to annoint Jesus.

~ Jesus in the Heart of the Earth, Day #2.
~ Mary goes out to buy spices (after the Pharisee's Sabbath):
Mary goes out and buys spices and then prepares them all day. Mark 16:1 tells us she did this after the Sabbath. This was not after the Saturday Sabbath but it was after the high holy day Sabbath (i.e. the 15th) according to the Pharisees and their traditions. Mary couldn't have bought spices early morning on Sunday (After the Saturday Sabbath) because there would have been no time for her to go to the shops to buy spices and the prepare them and still arrive at the tomb when it was yet still dark out (John 20:1).

~ Jesus is rises from the grave (out of the Heart of the Earth) at exactly 3:00PM.
~ Weekly Saturday Sabbath (No servile work was to be done).
Jesus rises within the closed tomb on the Saturday Sabbath at 3:00PM (i.e. He is was in the Heart of the Earth for exactly 72 hours from the point of His death). For Jesus said He would be in the heart of the Earth for three days and three nights. The heart of the Earth is not the grave because he was not buried in the ground. Again, the heart of the Earth is Abraham's bosom in sheol. For he told the thief on the cross that he would be with Him in that very day in Paradise. Not that evening or the next day or two days later. He told the thief that he would be with him in Paradise that very day. So Jesus' death would then start the clock of Christ being in the heart of the Earth. Jesus' resurrection takes place on a Saturday Sabbath because He is our eternal rest. This is on the 17th day which is significant throughout all of Scripture. In fact, it was the time that Noah's ark had rested on Mount Ararat before the flood waters had completely abated later on. For it was showing that God's judgment had ended and that a new life was about to begin for Noah. Now, there is a connection between Christ’s resurrection and the Sabbath (which is a time of resting). Scripture says we will be resurrected as a result of Jesus, “Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.” (2 Corinthians 4:14). This resurrection for us by Jesus will involve a place of rest for us in the future.
Rev 21:1 “And I saw a new heaven and a new earth…”
Rev 21:4 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
But we can have a “rest” now in Jesus. We can also apply the resurrection now in our lives by walking now in the likeness of His resurrection.
For Romans 6:5 says, “For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.”; And Hebrews 4:8-11 says,
Heb 4:8 “For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
Heb 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
Heb 4:11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28).

~ Jesus ascends to the Father (to later return to be with His disciples):
~ 1st Day of the Week (New Beginnings):
Mary encounters Jesus and He tells her not to touch Him (So as to remain pure); For Jesus still needed to complete His plan of redemption for mankind. Jesus then ascends to the Father and enters the Holy Temple up in Heaven by His blood and He obtains eternal redemption for us. This was so that Jesus could be our Heavenly high priest and mediator between God the Father and us (i.e. mankind). “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.” (Hebrews 9:12).
The number 8 (within the number 18) means: “New beginnings.” We read just a few verses down from Hebrews 9:12 the following words.
“And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament,...” (Hebrews 9:15, Emphasis mine). For Christ said in Revelation, “Behold, I make all things new.” (Revelation 21:5).
