This kinda voids their excuse for not addressing black on black crime. Right?

Oh for sure. Its totally wrong. But the truly sinister poisoning of minds in this church just doesnt even raise the pulse among many here. I find that pretty disturbing.

I can't speak for anyone, but I've seen no one supporting their ideas. Probably a lot of us don't see much value in expressing cheap virtue signaling. If you'll feel better if I condemn the church, fine, I condemn it 100%. That should go without saying.

My sense is it didnt because there a different motive afoot: to tarnish the entire current racial justice movement

I don't think anyone is in charge of which videos go viral on the internet. And BLM is as BLM does.

I can draw a parallel between Black Lives Matter and the Westboro Baptist Church. Two important differences though. First, BLM has far broader support than WBC. Second, whereas WBC is careful to operate within law, BLM openly flouts the law, taking it for granted that the law will not be enforced against them.

For all of their talk about "oppression" BLM supporters don't act like they are oppressed at all. On the contrary, they act like highly privileged people who are surprised when they are expected to obey the same laws that everyone else has to follow.

No, that would work if you were talking about a group of churches with a creed specific to them. And Christianity has had 2,000 years and most of the planet to splinter over. BLM has been around a few years, so I'd expect focus.

BTW when I say I condemn them, I wanted to know what I was talking about, so earlier today I listened to some of that one sermon. The guy even condemns country western music! He condemns everything. Classic nut.

No you cant draw that parallel. BLM is way too broad a movement.

Denounce them on their hateful I ideas which are non biblical but at the same time recognize that it is illegal to harass the members the way BLM did in the video.

I don't see any Christian churches in the USA rioting and breaking public property and beating and killing people. If I did, I would condemn them as criminals also.

How long do you think I would get away with standing in front of a mosque screaming into the people's faces as they entered with a bullhorn and cursing at them? It seems to me that lately there's been a different set of rules when it comes to BLM.

Not true Christian churches. But hate groups that protests at veterans funerals for example? Yes, lots of outrage, but I also recognize that in America they have the right to do so as long as they're peaceful and don't actually get in people's faces. BLM on the other hand, has been committing criminal activities.
