I think they are part of the reason God sent it, plus those who listen to them.

A great idea. Get the to make it clear when it will end, to make it public and when it file to publicly silence these blasphemers.

We could ask, but who would believe their report? People did not believe the report of prophets of the Bible. They will not believe modern prophets today.

God's revelation was complete when the last book of the New Testament was written. There are no "modern prophets." 1 Corinthians 13:8
The office of Prophet still exists today.
Ephesians 4:11
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

should we even pray for the virus to end? Don't get me wrong I am sad to see the death and the impact this virus has, but if it wasn't for the virus some people would not have repented. God always sent viruses in the Bible partly as a warning for humanity to repent and turn their hearts to God, isn't it therefore partly good that God allows viruses. Besides God from the beginning says what will be at the end, and He said that before Jesus returns there will be a lot of natural disasters, famine, etc etc so we shouldn't pray for God to change His mind, rather than when such things happen we should pray for people to repent

In the early period of the church there were apostles and prophets but not so anymore. Also, the sign gifts such as healing are no longer given. 1 Corinthians 13.

Like who would you ask? Who do you consider a "modern prophet".

I guess anyone who claims to have the gift of prophecy should be asked ---- Christian or non-Christian.

Perhaps God made farmers crops fail and his family starve as a “ warning for humanity to repent and to turn their hearts to God”

Perhaps God put the iceberg on front of Titanic for same reasons.

Perhaps He struck the spark that made Hindenburg to go up in flames.

The need of humans to get some emotional relief by inventing reasons and motives in disasters does not make them real.

It is a pandemic. There is zero evidence it is anything else.

If God wanted people to really repent why not send something that makes the point ?

Horde of angels chopping people’s heads off would make a point.

Another earthquake, another volcanic eruption, another meteor strike, another pandemic.....

All have natural causes and have been with us since beginning of our history.

Just so silly to hear every time something crosses the news threshold that it is because of....whatever is bugging me at the moment...God did it.

Ephesians 4:13 King James Version (KJV)
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Can you say the church has reach this level given?

I'm sorry but your quoting that verse way out of context.

The apostle Paul is speaking here of gifts pertaining to the nation of Israel, such as the law, the covenants, the promises, etc. No other nation were so gifted. God does not change or make mistakes and in the gifts to the church, some were only temporal as 1 Corinthians 13 clearly states, so God is not going back in his dealings there either.

Read 1 Corinthians 13:8 onwards - it clearly states prophecy shall cease. Do you disagree? If so, why?

I think everyone should record their reports to see if they come true or not. A false prophet must bat 1,0000 without one strike out. That way we can identify who is who.

Also, ask the question to include worldwide stopping of the virus .

I would be more concerned about the omission of warning and preparation for God’s people. If they’re working for Him; why were they silent?

Great question Bella.

God grants repentance. If he wanted people to repent he would grant it. But he also destroys the wicked using his 4 sore judgments. War, famine, plague, and wild animals. We see this in Revelation and throughout the OT.
