You have to see the irony there ‘We are in the midst of an epidemic of fake news‘ is itself fake news, by its own definition. A few debatable matters of opinion and actual ‘fake’ stories you can count on your fingers do not an epidemic make. If you can show me any news source that doesn’t sometimes exaggerate, make flat out false statements etc then maybe we can agree that a small number of dubious or inaccurate stories in getting on for 4 years is something unusual, but I only have to watch Fox for 10 minutes to see the same kind of misrepresentation and manipulation complained about here.

a few "fake" news stories don't make a tiny dent in the thousands of true ones and the encylopedic list of books written by former staffers, Pulitzer winning journalists, and others who have first hand knowledge.

If we could count all the lies that the msm has told it would be obvious that they far, far, out lie Trump. And many of those things they call lies are not lies at all.

The Russian scandal. No one in the Trump campaign conspired with the Russians. That the Russians did everything they could to create doubt and mistrust by putting out false information is not at doubt and wittingly or unwittingly the media in our country helped them by buying into and repeating every false story. Yes the Russians tried to help Trump and eliminate Hillary but I doubt that they are happy at this point since Trump has been harder on them than any other president to date. No scandal here.

James Comey. Yes Trump fired Comey as well he should have. More and more disturbing information is surfacing about Mr. Comey and it is not pretty. No scandal here.

Michael Flynn No scandal here Flynn has now been exonerated from charges that should have never been made. There is more information developing on this and it looks bad for Comey, some of his coworkers and the Obama administration.

Public Service and Private Gain. Trump won the appeal of the emoluments issue. No scandal here.

Trump's use of Twitter. No scandal here. It just rubs the msm to no end that Trump is not dependent on them to get the truth out to the public.
Let's see what is left, ---nothing.

I do not have time to list every article about the msm false news. I am not trying to change anyone's view, just trying to keep things fair. And speaking of fair is there any evidence of FOX false news? No need to limit the search to just the last 10 minutes.

By misrepresentation and manipulation I mean a superficial, one-sided representation of a given issue, which, as far as I have seen covers much of what Fox does. Whenever I’ve tuned it it has been broadly similar, a discussion between people who agree with each other, with no room for different perspectives unless they are brought up in order to be ridiculed. In terms of actual fake news, then the claim that the Mueller report ‘exonerated’ Trump completely is a big one. The report concluded that charges could not be brought for obstruction of justice against Trump because he is the sitting president, and on the other hand ‘...that Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election was illegal and occurred "in sweeping and systematic fashion",[10][11][12]but was welcomed by the Trump campaign as it expected to benefit from such efforts’.

That is not the exoneration Fox, among others, claimed it to be.
Anyway I’m out of time for today, I’ll respond to anything else later or over the weekend.

More pernicious however is the refusal to offer viewers balanced reporting. As you can see from my previous post, it is this kind of manipulative reporting, simply leaving out or ridiculing without basis anything that might provide a bigger picture for viewers, that is more of a problem. You can quite easily compare news sources if you read them widely enough, I can’t do that for you, to get a more complete picture.

That's simple. He was just saving the taxpayers a bunch of money because Trump would have pardoned him anyway. Dropping the charges saves time and money.

Um, because Flynn was set up and threatened, they even threatened to go after his son. The FBI documents on the Flynn case are unsealed and you can read them for yourself. It's an easy, case closed decision. Pay particular attention to the hand written notes on the right side of the paper......This is the FBI for petes sake. Should scare any American, right or left.

Video manipulation, splicing in footage of an entirely different crowd to make attendance seem much higher than it was? Daily editorial memos telling reporters what angle to push? Photo manipulation to make targets of slander look like 'bad guys'? Pushing sketchy stories based on random rumours as if factual? How is that any different to the accusations thrown at other media outlets? If anything, it is more demonstrably deliberate, as while someone might use the wrong footage, you can't accidentally splice video into an original shoot.

Those are opinions expressed on Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not considered a valid source by any part of the academic community, it is not even an acceptable source in a grade school essay. Now a specific example in an article from an accepted news source would be nice to see. I am not being redundant by continually asking for legitimate factual evidence am I?

How are specific examples opinion? Each case I referred to is described in detail, that isn't an opinion. Fox in each cases didn't deny having manipulated the video footage or images. It's all there.

There is nothing there that compares in any way with the evidence that I provided proving msm false news. So obviously Fox news is not engaging in false news in any way that is even remotely close to the msm.
