If I wanted to prove all of these signs and wonders happened, I would video them.

I don't need to prove them. It is up to you to want them or not. If you don't want everything God has for you, that is your loss.

I want it all. Show me.

Why would you withhold what you think is best for me? Is that loving neighbor as self? Is that the example that Christ set?

Remember how Christ treated Thomas? He didn't despise his doubts. He provided proof. I am asking that you help me in the same manner, please.

@jimmyjimmy

Just read the Word. The Word says to ask for it. The best proof is your own experience.

You can't be bothered to help me with a video from your phone? Is that such an inconvenience? Is that what Jesus did to Thomas?

"Give to everyone who asks you" (Luke 6:30)

"And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles." (Matt 5:1)

If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? (James 2:15-16)

I won't ask again. The ball is in your court. Do as your conscious dictates.

LOL I don't have a cell phone. And my land line just bit the dust, says "no line." Need the phone company.

But I wouldn't anyway. They are pearls, and you want me to cast them before you who plans to trample them under your feet? No way.

I understand. I understand completely.

You already gave me a clue of where your heart is, and it isn't good. You are the only person I showed that picture to, and you still wanted a video, and if I did that, you would say, prove it wasn't doctored.

I’m not a cessationist but I do find speaking in tongues to be intriguing. The main issue I have is speaking in tongues in a large gathering. If there is no interpreter then why is there a need to speak in tongues in public. It seems to edify the speaker instead of edifying the church.

I think the early church with the apostles, were rich in gifts. Whereas we need to prime and press in... so they are praying in tongues for a gift of a word of knowledge from someone, or are praying for others there... But they may not yet have anyone gifted in prophecy or interpretation yet.

"Cessationists" are cessationists for the most basic of reasons...because tongues DID cease.
If they hadn't, cessationists wouldn't be arguing that they will or should or might or any of that.
Sorry, wrong on both counts.
The reason cessationists are so deceived is because of 2 major disasters:
1) Satan deceived the early church (not the NT church).
2) Some of the early church leaders did not have the Holy Spirit baptism,
nor did they have any of the 9 spiritual power gifts, so they were jealous
of those who did have such ... and they proceeded to debunk the whole thing.
The Truth is usually so simple (when revealed by the Spirit).

But that's not a valid reason for the doctrine of cessationism. When a charismatic of today looks to his own experience to help shape his doctrine, you would object stating, "Rely on Scripture, not on experience."

But here YOU admit that cessationism is inferred from the experience of seeing a disappearance of the gifts!
