Not a huge difference between shrimp and locust, anatomically anyhow. Except that locust is kosher/halal and shrimp is not.

I once had a girlfriend from the Middle East who would not eat shrimp for that reason.

"Ακρίς", also means "tip" or "peak"and its plural "ακρίδες" means "shoots" as in tender young plants. It does not translate only as "locusts". Most of the Greek fathers I have read consider the "shoots" as equivalent to the pottage eaten by the sons of the prophets in the Old Testament.
