If you are willing to say that getting baptized in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost as part of salvation is total blasphemy, you have never read or understood the scriptures rightly.Total blasphemy: Act_4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
You believe what you wish, but I choose direct revelation by a man that I believe is a true prophet of God, over any forms of philosophical guessing. There is no new revelation. The faith is delivered once and for all to the saints (meaning Christians, not "Latter Day Saints"). Whatever your self-described prophets are receiving, it is not from God.

Who added the Nicene Creed?
If you are willing to say that getting baptized in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost as part of salvation is total blasphemy, you have never read or understood the scriptures rightly.
So what you are saying is that the purpose of the Nicene Creed was not to glorify God, it's purpose was to exclude the Arians and the Pneumatomachi. In fact it was not a revelation from God at all. It did not come from a prophet of God, it is not scripture, it disagrees with what Jesus said:The Creed came from the faithful bishops of Jesus Christ who, enduring in the holy faith against the heresies of the Arians and the Pneumatomachi, asserted in their confession the faith of the Church, that we believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things seen and unseen; and in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages, begotten not made, of one Being with the Father, God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God, who for us men and for our salvation became man, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary became flesh; Who suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, buried, dead, and who rose on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, who ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father from whence He will come again, in glory, to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom will never end; and in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father, who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who spoke by the ancient prophets. We proclaim our faith in one holy catholic and apostolic Church, one baptism for the forgiveness of sins, looking forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life everlasting in the Age to Come.
This is the faith of Christ's Church.

Moses 7 of the Pearl of Great Price:
64 And it came to pass, when the Lord had spoken with Adam, our father, that Adam cried unto the Lord, and he was caught away by the Spirit of the Lord, and was carried down into the water, and was laid under the water, and was brought forth out of the water.
65 And thus he was baptized, and the Spirit of God descended upon him, and thus he was born of the Spirit, and became quickened in the inner man.
This is all that we have been taught of Adams baptism.
He was a prophet of God, much higher in authority than a bishop.

I understand the scri8ptures tightly---and they do not say this:
"This Church is the ensign on the mountain spoken of by the Old Testament prophets. It is the way, the truth, and the life. "
Marion G. Romney, Conference Report, April, 1961, p. 119
"Therefore it was made clearly manifest that salvation is in the Church, and of the Church, and is obtained only through the Church."
Mark E. Petersen, Salvation Comes through the Church, Ensign, July 1973
"If it had not been for Joseph Smith and the restoration, there would be no salvation. There is no salvation outside The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints."
Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, 1979, p. 670)
You have not been baptized unto The Father, Son and Holy Ghost of the bible---but of your prophets and they are no the same, they so not save. Only the baptism unto the true Father, Son and Holy Ghost of the bible will save you.
The Church of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth by Jesus the Christ for one reason, and that was to give all members the authority and the grace, and principles, and ordinances that are needed before someone can be saved. So what you are saying is that the purpose of the Nicene Creed was not to glorify God, it's purpose was to exclude the Arians and the Pneumatomachi. In fact it was not a revelation from God at all. It did not come from a prophet of God, it is not scripture, it disagrees with what Jesus said:
(New Testament | John 20:17)
17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
Baptism only saves if you follow that up with using the grace that Jesus gives you and being faithful in keeping his commandments and doing the good works that Jesus has before ordained for you to walk in.Does baptism save?
The Church of Jesus Christ was restored to the earth by Jesus the Christ for one reason, and that was to give all members the authority and the grace, and principles, and ordinances that are needed before someone can be saved.
For instance, if you had rejected the church that Peter organized in the first century, under the influence of Jesus the Christ, and had gone to another church, you would not have received the saving grace, and authority, or principles, or ordinances, and would not have been saved in the kingdom of God.

Baptism...
Only time will tell who the true Father and Son and Holy Spirit are. Because both of our positions are very solid and we both use the bible for our source.
