Hi, I'm looking to see if I can expand my faith by hearing about some word-of-mouth miracles and taking them seriously. I will take you seriously. If you would post a short synopsis about your miracle(s) that would be greatly appreciated.

For my miracle, I have to say that a pastor at my church, now retired, went in for a quadruple bypass; when they went in for the surgery, they found that his heart had grown its own bypasses.

That counts as a miracle in my book! Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I couldn't find a better place.

At what point can we say we have received a miracle? My lungs filled up with fluids and my heart stopped so my wife called 911. They used their defibulator and got my heart going again. This was 15 years ago. I asked the fire chief what the chance was of getting the heart going again if it is not beating when they get there. He told me one in 1500. So that is pretty good odds for me. This leads me to believe that God still has work for me to do here on the earth.

Hi, I'm looking to see if I can expand my faith by hearing about some word-of-mouth miracles and taking them seriously. I will take you seriously. If you would post a short synopsis about your miracle(s) that would be greatly appreciated.

I've had some instances of obvious Divine Intervention. If you want to be picky with the term miracle as breaking some law of physics etc. then they may not qualify, but they do for people of Faith who are looking for ways that God is present and working in their lives that defy probability etc.

1) Well the first one is my birth. I've felt unlucky the way I was raised. I've had some problems with coordination etc. that stem from things going wrong, like not being allowed to crawl when I was a baby that screwed me up developmentally etc. Anyway sometimes when I'm in a funk thinking about that sort of thing I remind myself of my birth. I was one of the first babies to be born from a mother who had chicken pox while pregnant and survived. The case was rare enough that I made medical journals! I was born without chicken pox while everyone else whose mother had chicken pox was born with it and died!.

I actually am very resistant to chicken pox and shingles, back in 2012 I had a case of shingles but it was very mild to what every one else says about it. I was not incapacitated or in agony only mildly affected by itching a slight fever etc.

2) The second one comes from my 20s. I was going to relocate to Seattle for ministry purposes but things didn't work out and I had to come back home. Where I was coming back to live with my parents and go back to living and working in Silicon Valley. I had this elderly bishop also traveling with me. He felt bad not being able to see my that much while I was up there so he came back to visit with me and see my best friend who he also knew and had a relationship with.

Anyway unknown to me on the drive back from Seattle to the Santa Cruz mountains of California my alternator gave out somewhere in northern Oregon. While I was in the middle of Oregon I noticed a low battery warning. Which was bad, my funds also were at a low point as well. Anyway I stopped using the radio and kept driving on. Luckily this happened near the end of Summer where day light saving time was still on, so I was able to procrastinate putting my headlights on.

Remarkably I was able to get from Oregon into the Santa Cruz mountains without any problems. But eventually a few miles from parents house I had to put my beams on since it eventually became night time. And it was that time we began praying in earnest. As I drive, the beams however gradually began to dim. But I kept driving. I actually made it to my dad's property when my car died.

Now this was a long distance, and it was not all straight, there was plenty of steep up and down places in the mountains, and to top it off I was towing a uhaul trailer that added lots of extra strain and drag. Anyway the ability to make it to the front of my fathers property with my car battery slowing dying seems to beat all the odds. Part of me sometimes suspects that God went out of his way to help me because of the old bishop traveling with me because any break down would have been tough for him too.

One time I woke up with my jaw locked in a certain position and whenever I closed it, some teeth would touch a certain way that would give me horrible pain. I had to drive 50 minutes to church and I decided to eat something soft because I couldn't chew and decided to go to church anyway. I didn't tell anyone at church. I just made sure I didn't close my jaw all the way. I started worshipping and right there something touched my left side of the jaw and I could close my mouth without any pain at all. Praise God!

I guess I would call a miracle any thing in which God's hand is observable -- defiance of the odds, "coincidences," out-right defiance of nature, etc. Thanks for all the posts so far!

My ex-wife had a healing from my church and when the doctors ran the ultrasound they found that her injury was healed (the image showed no damage), and said that it should not have healed on its own.

I keep wondering about the gift of healing, I know a person with a crooked spine who could obviously use it.

Nobody should need to hear or see miracles.

All that matters is faith.

While that is correct, it is important to discuss how healings are performed so people know. It's also important for people to know they occur.

I received instant healing from a serious liver condition. Same for chronic nosebleeds caused by a broken nose not reset. A friend of my mine booked into hospital "dead on arrival" (car crash, head on with a truck). He lived. Even the unbelievers called him the miracle man. My ribs were healed, broken as a result of childhood whooping cough and not set properly. "Impossible to break" lease was changed to permit us to lease our Bible school premises. That was a four year battle. My ex moved and I did not know whereabouts. 15 years later, the Lord led me to them. We prayed for my son. Apple was employing people. They had 20,000 applicants for a number of positions. My son went from cleaning pickle barrels to working for Apple.

Love hearing testimonies of how God has worked in people's lives per Rev 12:11

Before our youngest son was in the 3rd grade, I dreamed that he was in an accident and had to have surgery. There was a serious complication and the dream revealed how it needed to be handled. I didn't mention it to anyone and didn't know to pray about it. Months later when we got the phone call that he had been hit by a car, I yelled to my husband as we were running out the door, he's going to be ok!

What happened in the natural was just as I had dreamed it. The doctors said the exact words and stood where they had been in my dream. Our son's hospital room was located on the right hand side next to the elevators, etc. After our son came home and things had settled down, I told them about the dream. My husband said it had really puzzled him why I was so sure that our son would be fine even 2 sec after the initial call. He had been amazed (shocked) at how calm I was through the entire process. But I just knew that our son was going to be okay in spite of the facts: the car was traveling about 45 mph, he hit the windshield & fell onto the street; there was blood, grass, gravel, everywhere; the complication happened, etc,

Our son doesn't have any problems from what happened. He has 4 children now. I still find it hard to express how grateful I am to Yahweh.

I agree, but God just happens to do miracles. Constantly. No one would be saved without a miracle. It's called being born again.

Jesus, while on earth, said look at the signs and wonders "If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him. John 10:37-38

"And these miracle signs will accompany those who believe: They will drive out demons in the power of my name. They will speak in tongues. 18 They will be supernaturally protected from snakes and from drinking anything poisonous. And they will lay hands on the sick and heal them." Mark 16:17-18

In other words, they point to HIM.

Any time that God interacts with man, it is a miracle in my book. I've had many, including some miracle healings.

I had a severe case of the flu, back in the 1980's. It was Saturday and I normally went to Mass that evening. I thought that I would wait until Sunday morning, to see if I'd feel better but something kept urging me to go that evening.

I obeyed and got cleaned up and sat in the bacl away from others. My temperature was around 102. I had severe chills. I had been vomiting and had diarrhea.

When it was time to partake of the Eucharist I went forward and received the body and blood of our Lord Jesus. As I turned to head back to my seat, I was completely healed of my illness. I had no effects of the flu remaining. Instant healing.

On another occasion I received a message from the Spirit that I would receive a healing, while driving to Church. I had been injured in a slow pitch softball game a number of years earlier and a large brown hard spot, the size of a softball, was on my calf. I had received many tests and treatments by doctors over the years but nothing helped.

At the Mass after receiving the message of healing, I prayed and thanked God. Later that day the area where the injured was began to get hot with fever and the whole area of my leg was sore to the touch, from my knee to my ankle. This lasted about three days and all subsided and the injury had disappeared. The doctors had no answer for it no return visits were scheduled since no injury remained.

God has been a big part of my life and has been with me throughout my life, even though I didn't understand it.

God bless and thank you for allowing me to share.

That would make the news do you have a link?

Would also be written into many medical articles as a miracle. Know of any?

Not to take the miracle away from this but it happens quite often and shows the miracle of God's creation.

There's also the importance of testmonies per:

""I hought it good to shew the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought toward me." Dan 4:2

"Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people." I Chron 16:8

Jesus said:
"Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee." Mark 5:19

"I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed." PSA 119:46
