I hold the woman across the street and the teacher down the hall in much higher regard than that.Everyone has the right to their opinion and to express that opinion, so I stand behind her doing that very thing. I just don't think her opinion should matter more than the women's across the street or the teacher down the hall. That's all I'm saying.

You missed mine, though. You said you do not think Swift's opinion should matter more than the women's opinions; I said that I do not hold the random women's opinions so low as to be only equal to that.
The difference between today and 50 yrs ago is that celebrities who used their voice, spoke against a way of life then and offered an alternative (kinda like Jesus) which was far different in comparison to personal attacks today. (today being more in line with the style of the Pharisee's condemnations)She thinks too highly of herself (and her opinions) because she equates likes with worth. (But what do I know, I'm a rock fan.)
