That’s it in a nutshell! Leaving their post to do their own thing. They had posts to carry on whatever work that God had for them to do. But they chose their own path away from what God had purposed.
Do you realize (I haven't read all the posts)
that the angels never took to themselves wives ?

Sure they could, but some dont make much sense.
You wont find direct word for word bible evidence for this.
Here is the interesting foundation for it and it draws mostly on Enoch.
Where Do Demons Come From? - LogosTalk
This seems to be the default belief of the early church. At least four of the church fathers spoke about this and agreed with it, including Justin Martyr, Athenagoras, Lactantius, and Commodianus.

It's pretty clear that Jude is referring to some of the events described in Enoch in his letter. That isn't to imply that the book is equal to scripture, or even that Jude agreed with all of its contents. But Jude, and also Peter, seem to be referencing that tradition.

Afaik, it's less clear to me that demons are the spirits of dead Nephilim. But that belief was widely held in the early church. And I don't think demons are ever presented as corporeal, as angels are, so I'm inclined to believe that they're different classes of beings.

When Jesus rose from the dead he said that "All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me". That is, the angelic principalities no longer have any dominion over men; God has reclaimed for himself all of us, every nation. We are truly living in an age of grace.

Dominions Principalities Powers still exist. these are not human beings or human institutions.

Colossians 1:15-17 New King James Version (NKJV)
15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

Paul wrote Ephesians after the resurrection, and describes our fight against evil. Notice the devilish connections called the rulers of the darkness of this age. That age we still live in and the fight goes on.

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

There is much here that is not written. So.. what I personally believe is demons/evil spirits have no body like fallen angels do. Fallen angels have everything God made them with. Just kicked out. We know where they are.. where the battle is. "the angel Gabriel tells Daniel that he was sent to give him a message, yet it took him 21 days to get to Daniel because he was restrained by the Prince of Persia, and finally broke through with the help of Michael the Archangel." <--this was not on the earth.

Now when Noah ark.. we know that ALL the thoughts of man were evil. And we know angels had mixed with man. How many? It does not say.. could have been millions or billions. I always wondered.. where would all those that were mixed of angels and man go if they died? They would have no body.. always looking for a HOME! ALL angels have a body. We know that fallen angels could show up as angels of light :) And we would know the difference how? Me? Lol .. I ask.. say we are washed by the blood of the lamb. When they mumble and vanish. Praise GOD glory to JESUS.. always focus on Him.. you have all power over them. Your name is written in heaven THATS what matters

So we need to be careful here. To state somethings as fact/truth when it is not written.. would be unwise.

Yeah - I am aware of what the book of "enoch" says. BTW - it was written during the first centuries - both bc and ad. Enoch (from Genesis) did NOT write it.
Just offering my conjecture - not directly supported by Scripture. Unclean spirits are called unclean because if we are to believe that the Nephilim were the offspring of fallen angels and human women, then their offspring are "unclean." When these Nephilim died, their unclean spirits lived on which is why they seek bodies to inhabit. “When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and finding none it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ (Lk 11:24).

Genesis 6
2 The divine beings saw how beautiful these human women were, so they married the ones they chose.
3 The Lord said, “My breath will not remain in humans forever, because they are flesh. They will live one hundred twenty years.”
4 In those days, giants lived on the earth and also afterward, when divine beings and human daughters had sexual relations and gave birth to children. These were the ancient heroes, famous men.

"How many times does the Hebrew reveal One Hundred and Twenty Years?"

The answer is that this revelation is unfolded before us on only three occasions. In the first instance, God is revealing it to Noah, and in the second instance God reveals it to Moses.

Does the life of Moses represents the same period of time that is in view with the 120-year prophecy revealed to Noah? After the 120 Salvation Jubilees or 6000 years are fulfilled, do the Children of Israel enter the 1000-year millennial reign of Messiah in Israel? Is the 6000 years for mankind rehearsed in the drama of the death of Moses? The death of Moses at 120 years old immediately precedes the march into the Promised Land by the Jews. Is that the Prophetic Pattern that forecast the biggest “C” change to ever unfold in time and space? Bigger than the Flood of Noah?

As a prophetic harbinger, does is mark the beginning of the final 1000-year Messianic age?

Read the three articles (2 previous to this also) for interesting take on this time seen in Hebrew Prophesy

I would not categorize them by name whether, fallen angels: Actually all evil spirits/demons/unclean spirits are fallen angels, they are actually the same thing, there is no other evidence in scripture that suggests God created any other spiritual beings than us and them. A human can posses an evil or corrupted spirit in a fallen state, but is however redeemable unlike satan and his demons, so I would not categorize human spirits in such a way. Nephilims are formed when evil spirits and humans come together,Gen 6:4 and Num 13:33 mentions the word nephilim also translated as Giants, they were living beings with human flesh , that's why even some satanists will call themselves nephilims. I have personal experience with this knowing such a person. It is those who have sold their souls to the devil and are completely given over to his will and are irredeemable.

Jesus Christ is Lord and will destroy all these evil entities in his judgement an bring us into everlasting life.

You err.
The Dead Sea Scrolls manuscript copies of copies of copies...of Enoch's writings go back to the third century BC.
Abraham read from the Book of Enoch to the wise men of Pharaoh when they asked him to teach them Wisdon, Values, and Truth, at the time they returned Sarai. Abraham wrote that he read to them from the Book of Enoch.
That is in the DSS Genesis Apryphon...
Job, a contemporary of Reuel, the father-in-law of Moses, was well versed in the writings of Enoch, and so were his friends...but they used God's words without wisdom in condemning Job.
That is in the Book of the history of the Patriarchs, which I believe Moses wrote while in the desert, wandering, for he had all the ancient writings.
Moses wrote from the foundation of Enoch's book, which teaches all the things about the fallen Watchers and their offspring, and their end, and why they roam earth.
And Makes it CLEAR that Satan is a class of created evil spirits in heaven, created to do what they do; tempt angels and mankind...
Evil spirits are satans, and some are named in Scripture: Apollyon -king of Sheol below, since the fall; Destruction; Corruption; Death, and so on...
