This is patently obvious to anyone reading the thread, I’m only pursuing the issue because I enjoy seeing creationists digging their own holes deeper and deeper in public.

There are lots of ways to interpret "goo".

The "by way of the zoo" makes zero sense. Modern species in zoos are not the same as historical species that existed throughout the history of the Earth. In fact, all modern species are equally evolved in that respect; evolution progresses through time, not across extant species.

More than anything this speaks to a misconception of evolution as being a sort of ladder of progression across existing fauna, when it's nothing of the sort.

When you dissect the statement, it doesn't speak well of creationists' knowledge of biology or evolution.

I agree it would not be worthwhile for a simple debate. It would, however, be worthwhile if you wished to acquire an accurate understanding of why your assertions are dismissed and thus better prepare you to offer objections that were listened to respectfully rather than laughed at. Perhaps you could properly consider those benefits before opting for continued ignorance on the topics you choose to pontificate on.
