President set to announce new Immigration Policy today

The President is set to announce a new skills/investment based immigration policy today: https://nypost.com/2019/05/15/trump-to-announce-immigration-plan-in-rose-garden-address/. This will obviously benefit US educated investors like me and my well trained students in the US. However, it'll probably be shot down by the Democrats as it'll lead the nation away from family based/chain migration and doesn't address the "Dreamers" issue. What do you folks think? All opinions are welcome.

Not like US agriculture, service sector and the like have a need for low skilled and cheap labour force because there are so many hopeful entry level americans ready to work 12 hour days picking berries and melons or serving tables.
