This morning when I woke up I was feeling worried and unsettled. There is a situation at the moment where I need to make a big decision regarding my future. I have a lot of responsibilities at work but have to balance them with increased responsibilities in my private life and I need to find the right balance. I prayed to God and handed over my concerns to Him. I was reading through the scriptures and felt the Lord telling me that I needed to trust Him more. I told Him that He was the only one I could trust who would be able to help me with the situation, as I did not know what to decide. Within a couple of hours, I felt a great sense of clarity of the right decision to make and felt at great peace about it. I know what I need to do now and the words I am going to say.

I also felt as if I was being led to go on another retreat very soon to have a break to be refreshed.

We are indeed overcomers when we put our faith in God!

The line above that I bolded caught me eye.
We are in good hands when we turn over our concerns to Him.
With it comes the "great peace" you testified to. (also bolded)

Now comes the exciting part. Where God is leading you. I pray that on the retreat God will show you which path to follow next as you move forward in him.

If I hadn't have prayed and handed over to God, I would have had that persistent nagging feeling all day that something wasn't right and I'd be anxious about what to do and what to say. But I feel the Lord has got it all under control now!

You got that right.

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Romans 12:2
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

I asked myself this week.
When should we turn something over to God (in prayer) for his help and when should we use our authority? (make a proclamation)

Answer: Use your authority when you are on kingdom business.

As believers we don't need to seek healing from any outside source. Our healing has already been paid for. By His stripes we HAVE BEEN healed. As believers we have authority to minister healing in Jesus' name. OT prophecy and NT fulfillment below.

Isaiah 53:5
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24
“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross,
so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness;
“by his wounds you have been healed.”

How many times I have wondered upon so many Christians whom contend with Jesus' own words,

"I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions
and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you."

(Luke 10:19)

Saying variations of 'context' usually, along the lines of it being addressed to the Disciples only.

What I have found with my brother whom wishes to take the path of un-expectancy is a strange silence courses through their day-to-day finds, , one that seldom ever entails the context of healthy-ears attuned to the hearing of the Spirit. One that doesn't faint from the spiritual prudence of hearing the word of faith being welcomed by faith.

Faint-of-heart from faith are those who wield "facts" above the message. I would like to think you too may be in agreement of a shared awareness of the reader's potential of stumbling in the text.

The great danger is the anticipation to qualify the hearing of faith, ,

“, , are you the only ones it has reached?” - 1 Cor 14:36

Maybe those same people believe that only Nicodemus was being told he needed to be born again.

OTOH the law was only given to the Israelites.

John 1:17
For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Ditto sir,

For the record, I do dabble in hermeneutics, but trusting the Lord to lead onward w/all armor in its rightful place, ie; Peter to the Jews, Paul to the Gentiles, Jew/Gentile, Jew/Greek (order).

Right.

Thank God! What a lineup here, calling on that which is above human strength though we can greatly aid each other in times of trial. Whether it be adversity or adversary, spiritual or natural or any combination thereof, and lest I have missed any other’s mentioning – I am compelled to resist turning to the Lord in times as these seeing that Christ knows so much further than we and the limits of our mettle as we persevere,

I am He who searches the minds and hearts; and I will give to each one of you according to your deeds. ‘But I say to you, the rest who are in Thyatira, who do not hold this teaching, who have not known the deep things of Satan, as they call them—I place no other burden on you.

(Revelation 2:23, 24)

, , but rather walk with the understanding of He who is able to make “all grace abound” in one’s life with each and every passing minute.
