That is horribly tragic.

But, also, to answer your question; none.
This is a case of a negligent person not paying attention to where they kept their firearm. 1# rule of gun safety: never leave a loaded firearm out in the open where anyone can get their hands on it.
But this doesn't change the fact that Americans have the right to bear arms.

That was horribly irresponsible.

Removing the Second Amendment would not address the problem with power, human nature, and how those in the government, and how those who are criminals, abuse it. Furthermore, our government can't even keep hard drugs out of neighborhoods, so attempting to do so with guns would only harm the people honest enough to comply with them - criminals would still be armed, unless you want to get rid of the 4th Amendment too.

The 2nd Amendment is not the problem. It is the brain incapacitated people who keep their guns unsecured in their house with little children running around. Just an accident/tragedy waiting to happen.
The ease of ownership of such weaponry cannot be ignored.

So your solution is to throw away the baby with the bath water? Get rid of the 2nd amendment? Illogical fallacy.

Well if the child had found a knife do you think he would have stabbed his mother in the head?

Depends wholly on the child. If the child had been brought up responsibly, then they wouldn't have touched the gun.
This isn't a 2nd Amendment issue. This is wholly an issue of bad parenting.
Do you blame the manufacturers of kettles it a child throws boiling water on a sibling?

ETA: Changed 'fired' to 'touched' since that was causing some confusion as to the intent of my message.

which means what according to your view?
Gun ownership is not an absolute right. Training in handling and safe storage storage should be mandatory.
