I agree, although it's doubtful that Trump knew that those workers were illegal. He has staff that do the hiring. And although some demand that he resign the presidency, divest himself of all his assets, and move to Russia over it he could just fire the staffer that did the hiring.

I was referring to your methodology as suggested by you (and recalling the terrible results as applied to studies that I am familiar with). You took it as a personal insult. That's on you.

There are two meanings of the word "statistics." You are indeed correct that people call data that is presented to the public "statistics," but there is also the science of statistics, which is the use of mathematics to evaluate and analyze data (and to create the "statistics" that you're referring to).

You original assertion that he should correctly say that he "processed statistics with data" is nonsensical - data is simply information and means next to nothing without statistical analysis. It cannot be used to process anything.

The government is shut down over the $5.6 billion, not the $1.6 billion already being used for the border wall. Didn't you read the link?

The only $1.6B that I have seen referenced is the amount that was in the bipartisan CR that was sent to Trump in Dec. The one he refused to sign (meaning it didn't go into effect) and therefore shut down part of the government.
