I have been practicing Buddhism for thirteen years. As I progressed along the Buddhist path I began to get into the more esoteric aspect of it. I began to practice more advanced Vipassana meditation techniques and started using chants and slogans. Also, I started reading tantric text.

At this point things started to really go wrong. I mean REALLY wrong. I had started to have horrific dreams.

For many, many months I started to have dreams of being watched. The dream atmosphere in these early dreams seemed to be imbued with malice, negativity and a general sense of dread. After some time I could see what was watching me but only at a distance. I really could not make out any sense of form, it just seemed like a localized phenomenon of darkness ever watching. Plotting, like they were studying the prey. Then as time passed, there was movement and that movement was in my direction. Not only was I being watched I was now being chased. Finally they caught up with me and once caught and surrounded they confronted me psychologically. I just remember they would cast negative thoughts and emotions on me. I would become very confused, disoriented and very fearful. It was affecting my waking life as well. As the months went by these attacks would increase in duration, proximity and effectiveness. Then only after a short period of time the entities would coalesce and localize physically and assault me, where they touched me I would not be able to move that part of my body until I became totally immobilized.

All of this came to a head on October 22nd 2018, in a dream I found myself riding a red and silver bicycle with a large basket on the front down a residential road at night. Three ultra-black, featureless entities physically assaulted me relentlessly. The attack was so vicious, thought out and produced for maximum damage. At what seemed the climax of the attack three “people” came upon me. A man in white with a man on each side. The men on each side came from around and stood beside me facing the direction of the assailants. The three ultra-black entities retreated, I felt their dark presence no more. I finally succumbed to my injuries, fatigue and utter exhaustion. I fell to the ground. The man in white picked me up and set me down in a yard. He held me as I lay on the grass. He started to touch the worst of the wounds. His touch had so much healing. I just felt this all encompassing love, so much love. So much compassion. So much warmth. I just melted into his lap and the strangest thing happened. I just started to laugh. At first he seemed puzzled by this but then he started to laugh as well. It was so human.
Then I woke up.

The next night I asked him to come back, as he arrived and held out his hand I put my hand into his and he took off my Buddhist bracelets.

That night I got down on my knees and asked for Jesus Christ to enter into my heart and life.
In one night all of my fears about my life, my existence and my purpose had been answered. Versus the thirteen years I spent through the looking glass and in a rabbit hole of my own making. "See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.” Colossians 2:8

In one night Jesus Christ entered my heart and with Him there I have found completion not lack. My identity is now with Christ. At the root of Buddhism there is nothing. With Jesus I’m full. With Jesus in my life I’m a new creation and all things are possible. Jesus in me is victorious, faithful, joyful, loving and powerful. Now I’m those characteristics. My life is transformed and through that transformation my mind has been renewed. Jesus is the ultimate dialectal agent in my life. I have accepted Jesus’s invitation to have a personal relationship with him. He has changed my grief into forgiveness. He has changed my anxiety to peace. He has changed my anger into joy. He has changed my thought life. He has parted in me a peace I have never known. Now, I live to glorify God through his Son Jesus Christ.

Mental E/c2 - Mentally, A mathematical formula, but this has chemical and spiritual properties as well.
Spiritual E/c2 - E (motivation, warmth, love) / c2 (faith, hope, charity, joy)

God can change energy to matter... E/c2 (energy)= m (matter)
God can change matter to energy... m (matter) = E/c2 (energy)

So I got into Eastern teachings and especially liked the IChing, the works of Lao-Tzu, and the works of Confucius. There is, however, no greater and significant light than what we have through God the Father.

This is an amazing testimony. This is one of the rare times when I would believe that the dreams you had were from God in order to rescue you from the clutches of the enemy and to point you to Christ. The fact that you responded by receiving Christ as your Saviour shows me the genuineness of your dream, that it was really the Holy Spirit using a dream to get you in the arms of Christ.

Praise the Lord for his grace and mercy that He did this for you. What a wonderful Saviour Jesus is!

And to describe Robert Sheffey in service (a wonderful light and energy in his time)...

I had associated with me that year a young collegemate, Rev. W. B. Stradley. He was a bright, popular fellow, and we managed to give Wytheville regular Sunday preaching. Stradley became a great preacher and died a few years ago while pastor of Trinity Church, Atlanta, Georgia. We were true yokefellows and did a great work on that charge, held fine revivals and had large ingatherings.

The famous Cripple Creek Campground was on that work. They have kept up campmeetings there for more than a hundred years. It is still the great rallying point for the Methodists of all that section. I have never heard such singing and preaching and shouting anywhere else in my life. I met the Rev. John Boring there and heard him preach. He was a well-known preacher in the conference; original, peculiar, strikingly odd, but a great revival preacher.

The rarest character I ever met in my life I met at that campmeeting in the person of Rev. Robert Sheffy, known as "Bob" Sheffy. He was recognized all over Southwest Virginia as the most eccentric preacher of that country. He was a local preacher; crude, illiterate, queer and the oddest specimen known among preachers. But he was saintly in his life, devout in his experience and a man of unbounded faith. He wandered hither and thither over that section attending meetings, holding revivals and living among the people. He was great in prayer, and Cripple Creek campground was not complete without "Bob" Sheffy. They wanted him there to pray and work in the altar.

He was wonderful with penitents. And he was great in following up the sermon with his exhortations and appeals. He would sometimes spend nearly the whole night in the straw with mourners; and now and then if the meeting lagged he would go out on the mountain and spend the entire night in prayer, and the next morning he would come rushing into the service with his face all aglow shouting at the top of his voice. And then the meeting always broke loose with a floodtide.

He could say the oddest things, hold the most unique interviews with God, break forth in the most unexpected spasms of praise, use the homeliest illustrations, do the funniest things and go through with the most grotesque performances of any man born of woman.

It was just "Bob" Sheffy, and nobody thought anything of what he did and said, except to let him have his own way and do exactly as he pleased. In anybody else it would not have been tolerated for a moment. In fact, he acted more like a crazy man than otherwise, but he was wonderful in a meeting. He would stir the people, crowd the mourner's bench with crying penitents and have genuine conversions by the score. I doubt if any man in all that conference has as many souls to his credit in the Lamb's Book of Life as old "Bob" Sheffey. - George Clark Rankin

Thank you Oscarr for your reply. Thank you for offering veracity to my dream experience. I realize that the enemy uses dreams to confuse people. I too feel that the dream was from the Spirit. For sometime I felt that God was pursuing me. I'm so grateful that He rescued me that night from the forces of darkness.

Without knowing much about the Bible I turned away from Christianity and became an atheist. Then one night I had a dream/sleep paralysis and it brought me back to faith in Christ.

That is SO cool. Is it not so amazing!? In my most darkest dream He found me. Me! He reached so far in to the darkness and found me. Not only found me but fought for me. Three on three.

At first the dreams were so beautiful, innocent and innocuous. Like a child in a candy store. But I feel that He started to find me and that action lead them to turn the dreams dark. Then like you, I started to experience dreams of paralysis. Then through my Buddhist training, now don’t get me wrong here I’m not glorifying Buddhism and it’s doctrines or practices. BUT at the time through my Buddhist training I was able control the dreams, break the paralysis and fight them on my own. But this is what I’m not sure about. This whole sequence of events could of been orchestrated by Him as my plan for eternal Salvation. But He found me. Heard my cries for help. Saw my battles. Reached past them into the darkness and rescued me.

I’m so happy for you! I’m so glad that you have found the way through Jesus Christ the Son of the living God. I wish you the very best on your journey.

Ultimately I personally believe that God knows everything that will happen before it does. He gives us free will to choose Him or not, but He ultimately is also all powerful and can work everything together for the good of those that love God who are called according to His purpose Romans 8:28. The way I see it God may have allowed the demons to attack you for a time, and demons only seek to kill steal and destroy John 10:10 so they went straight for the opportunity, but Christ rescued you ultimately because He wants to save everyone and for everyone to be brought to repentance 2 Peter 3:9. I find it interesting that in the Middle East many are coming to Christ through dreams and visions as well.
