Yes my friend we should always use God's WORD for our answers. You have only been provided Questions however that you are yet to answer with God's WORD.

What is GRACE for?

How can you have God's GRACE without God's LAW?

In regards to ROMANS 7:6 What is it that we are to die to that has bound us?

How can you have a GRACE without God's LAW (10 commandments) when it is God's LAW that leads to GRACE? What are the OLD and NEW COVENANTS?

If you do not KNOW what the OLD COVENANT is how can you know what the NEW COVENANT is that the OLD COVENANT points to?

Grace is a free gift of eternal life, that you do nothing to receive.

WHAT IS GRACE FOR?

ROMANS 1:5
5, By whom we have received GRACE and apostleship, FOR OBEDIENCE TO THE FAITH among all nations, for his name.

TITUS 2:11-12
[11], FOR THE GRACE OF GOD HAS APPEARED BRINGING SALVATION TO ALL MEN,

God's GRACE IS FOR OBEDIENCE to GOD'S WORD.

Hello all. Thought this would be an interesting topic for discussion. How can you have God's GRACE if there is not LAW that gives us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL? If we do not KNOW that we are all sinners how can we see our need of a Saviour?

According to God's WORD, ALL those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will not enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN *HEBREWS 10:26-27 because they reject the gift of God's dear son *ROMANS 6:23.

OBEDIENCE to God's LAW is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT of God's work in us as we BELIEVE and FOLLOW his WORD. If our faith has no fruit it is dead *JAMES 2:18-20; 26 and our tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *MATTHEW 3:10; 7:19-20; 13:49-50.

We are saved by GRACE through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God *EPHESIANS 2:8. We are all sick with sin and need a Physician *MATTHEW 9:12-13. If we do not know we are sick why would we seek a physician?

HOW CAN WE HAVE GOD'S GRACE IF WE HAVE NO LAW AND NO KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT SIN IS OR THE PENALTY OF SIN?

Probably we need to even go back to the very first Law of obedience given to Adam. “Hey Adam I gave you everything you need. Just don’t eat from the tree I said not to eat from.”

After the first couple disobeyed that one act of disobedience of Adam is the transgression which condemns us all (Romans 5). Of course after that each one of us has stored up our own transgressions.

Died to the law. Dies to the written law. The law brings death and is obsolete.
God used the jews as a living testament to the failure of the written law for man.

Grace is a gift. It is not used for anything. You don't give people gifts to use them.
It is a gift given in love. Perhaps people use gifts to a partner for the purpose of getting sex? Well grace has no similar reason for it.

1 Corinthians 9:20
To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the Law I became like one under the Law (though I myself am not under the Law), to win those under the Law.

Hi brother gideon123, welcome and thanks for your thoughts. It is God's WORD not mine I cannot take any credit for them. I am a sinner in need of a Saviour like you. You are correct here however. If there is no LAW then there is no KNOWLEDGE of what sin is because sin is the breaking of any one of God's 10 Commandments *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4.

As posted a little earlier without God's LAW (10 Commandments) we cannot have GRACE because through the LAW is the KNOWLEDGE of what SIN is and the wages of SIN is death *ROMANS 6:23. WE are all under SIN condemned to die as sinners *ROMANS 3:9-20 but God's love is made manifest towards us in theat while we were yet sinners Christ died for our sins *ROMANS 5:8 to bring us back to GOD to all those who BELIEVE his WORD *JOHN 3:16. Grace is a gift while the Law is earning. Knowledge of good and evil is the Tree of knowledge(The Law) in Eden. Adam and Eve(Jews) ate the fruit of that tree and were cast out of paradise and could never return. Adam's curse was to work the soil, which is man's works. (Judaism)

The Tree of Life is Jesus Christ. The Garden of Eden is righteousness, God's rest. (Grace)

If you are truly saved you will not want to steal, kill, lie and cheat because that is not who a Christian is!! We are changed at the very core of our being.
