The Christian will still sin, but the difference is that it is not natural and normal for them now to be doing that, as will be convicted and will confess and repent. If someone says now saved, and yet still sinning on exactly as before with no fruit to support hat, it is only a profession of faith is John's teaching here!

God's WORD does not teach we are to continue in known sin. *1 JOHN 2:1-4; 1 JOHN 3:9. Only those who are born again to walk in God's Spirit however do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh *GALATIANS 5:16; 1 JOHN 3:9, because they BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD *JOHN 8:31-36; JOHN 17:17. If you are still in your sins (known) you need to be Born again *JOHN 3:3-7.

1 John 3:9 says, "Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God."

What do you say? Do you agree, or disagree? Take the poll.
There’s another aspect to this also. e don’t fall into sin as much as being deceived by sin. But as the lies are uncovered and destroyed and being freed from illusion we discover blameless perfection and truth in Christ in the hope of glory Galatians 2:20 then all things are used for our good and cleanse us from unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

So your saying I can’t live a life of willful sin and still be saved by simply believing? Yeah I can completely agree with that. Although unfortunately many others do not. :/
The saved person will not be just sinning as usual, for to them now, shouldn't be the normal thing to be doing!

This is about sinning habitually without repentance.
This should be a warning to people who think
they are born-again, but probably are not
... if they are involved in habitual sinning!

John point is that one can cannot just keep on sinning without any sign of confessing/repenting from doing it...

One can be really saved and still have lust issues, anger issues, drinking issues, as our salvation is based upon what Jesus did on that Cross, not on how well we can behave!

You are getting confused between temptation and sin. For example temptation is a lustful thought. Sin is making it your own instead of casting it away *2 CORINTHIANS 10:5. Salvation is indeed JESUS dying for our sins but also giving us the power to walk in newness of life *ROMANS 6:4 as we have faith in his Word *1 JOHN 3:9; GALATIANS 5:16; ROMANS 3:31; JOHN 17:17. Salvation is from the inside out *MATTHEW 5:17-28. We need to be born again to have a new heart to love because love is the fulfilling of God's LAW in all those who believe and follow God's WORD *ROMANS 13:8-10. This is the NEW COVENANT promise *HEBREWS 8:10-12. If you have no fruit your tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *JOHN 15:3-10; JAMES 2:18-20; 26

"Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses."

What are your other two witnesses to that assertion?

We still sin even after being saved, the proof of real salvation is how we deal with it!

We have Christ's (God's) infinite righteousness imputed to us as believers. But we work on not sinning in thought. And if we can stop temptation there it does not become sin. Here's how I walk in the Spirit.

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” (2 Corinthians 10:5) (KJV 1900)

We censor every impure thought or imagination. And change the channel in our thinking on any thought that does not conform to obedience to Christ.

And we replace it with:

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8)

Knowing Jesus is God and God is love. So Jesus is lord of our lives when love rules our thoughts and actions.

We are still in this sinful flesh, and nothing good dwells within it still, and NONE have ever been able to live sinless before God, save for the God Man Jesus!

I'm not talking about that. The flesh is nothing but sin. But in the Spirit we do not need to yield to temptation in thought or deed. If you censor temptation in the thought realm, it remains temptation only, and never becomes sin.

Can you elaborate on that.
If one is merely professing that Jesus saved them, and can keep on sinning just as before, and feel no conviction from the Holy Spirit, have no desire to stop, that per John was not a true salvation
If one is sinning still, and yet agrees with God is a sin, and confesses that to God and desires to repent of doing it, that is real salvation!
