Ok so now I have asked for you to present scriptures from Christ where he commands us to assemble on the Sabbath.
Not as a commandment from Christ but as was their custom.Paul ministered all night and never corrected them.

Please answer my questions with scripture. Can you list the requirements for the Church today, on how we are to observe the Sabbath? Are we commanded to assemble on the Sabbath to have a church service? Did Jesus or His Apostle list any instructions as to how we observe the Sabbath today?

On the first day of the week let each one of you lay something aside, storing up as he may prosper, that there be no collections when I come.
1 Corinthians 16:2 Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight. Acts 20:7 The first day of the week is when the disciples came together.
JLB

Maybe you need to read what God's 4th commandment says? Where does it say in God's Sabbath commandment that we are commanded to assemble on the Sabbath?

EXODUS 20:8-11 [8], REMEMBER the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> [Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day] [9], Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: [10], But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God [This is a direct reference from God's Word defining what the Sabbath is; The SABBATH = the SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK]: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY> [11], For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT.

* The reason for the Sabbath Commandment is to REMEMBER the God of creation. He rested on the SEVENTH DAY of the WEEK, BLESSED the SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK and made it a HOLY DAY that no work is to be done. v11 Refers back to Genesis 2:1-3 and the origin of the Sabbath.

v8 shows that this commandment is a MEMORIAL of creation v11 [the reason for the 4th commandment]. Let's now look at the origin of God's 4th commandment...

GENESIS 2:1-3 [1], Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
[2], And ON THE SEVENTH DAY God ended his work which he had made; and he RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY from all his work which he had made. [3], And GOD BLESSED THE SEVENTH DAY, and made it HOLY <the 7th day>: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

............

CONCLUSION
: Nope nothing in God's 4th commandment that says it is a requirement to assemble on the Sabbath.

The Sabbath is about resting from work. Pastors and Teachers receive a wage for working. Their work is to Teach and Pastor the flock of God. Why would God call His ministers to work on the Sabbath. That would be breaking the Sabbath.

Well that is not true at all. Jesus makes it very clear the doing God's Work is NOT working on the SABBARTH.

MATTHEW 12:1-12
[1], At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the grain field; and his disciples were hungry, and began to pluck the ears of grain, and to eat.
[2], But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, your disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
[3], But he said unto them, Have you not read what David did, when he was hungry, and they that were with him;
[4], How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the showbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them who were with him, but only for the priests?
[5, Or have you not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
[6], But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
[7], But if you had known what this means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, you would not have condemned the guiltless.
[8], For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
[9], And when he was departed from there, he went into their synagogue:
[10], And, behold, there was a man who had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.
[11], And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
[12], How much then is a man better than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

As you can see from the scriptures I gave, the disciples gathered on the first day of the week.

The disciples met everyday of the week. You provided some scriptures showing that the disciples met together for a meal on the first day of the week because Paul was departing the next day and another scripture asking for the offerings to be laid aside because Paul was passing through to pick them up on his way to Jerusalem. None of those scripture say that God's 4th commandment has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day now do they?

ACTS 2:46-47 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Now your questions have been answered with scripture, how about you answer some of my questions? Ignoring them do not make them go away.

Where does it say in God's WORD? (Scripture please)

1. That God's 4th commandments 7th day Sabbath has been abolished?

2. That Jesus is a Sabbath?

3. The Sabbath (seventh day) was ever changed from the seventh to the first day of the week?

4. Where we are told to keep the first day of the week holy?

5. Where the first day of the week (Sunday) is ever called a holy day?

6. That says that Jesus ever kept the first day (Sunday)?

7. That tells us to keep the first day in honour of the resurrection of Christ?

8. Where the first day is ever given any sacred name?

9. That affirms that any of the apostles ever kept the first day as the Sabbath?

10. From any apostolic writings that authorizes Sunday observance as the Sabbath of God?

11. Where we are told not to work on the first day of the week?

12. That says the seventh day is no longer God's Sabbath day?

13. That says the seventh day Sabbath is ABOLISHED?

14. Where the apostles ever taught any convert to keep the first day of the week as a Sabbath?

15. Where the first day was ever appointed to be kept as the Lord's Day?

16. Where the first day of the week is ever called the Lord's Day?

17. That says that the first day of the week was ever sanctified and hallowed as a day of rest?

18. That says that the Father or the Son (Jesus) rested on the first day of the week?

19. That says that Jesus, Paul or any other of the apostles taught anyone to observe the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

20. That calls the seventh day the “Jewish Sabbath” or one text that calls Sunday the “Christian Sabbath”?

21. Telling man to keep the first day of the week holy or to worship or rest on the first day of the week?

22. Authorizing anyone to set aside God's Sabbath and observe any other day?

23. Showing any of the apostles keeping the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

24. Authorizing someone to set aside the fourth Commandment and observe any other day of the week?

25. Where any apostle taught us to keep the first day of the week as the Sabbath?

26. Declaring that the seventh day is no longer the Eternal Sabbath day?

27. Where Sunday is now appointed to be kept as the New Testament Sabbath or holy day?

If you cannot answer any of the above, who should we obey God or man? Something to seriously pray about my dear friends.

...........................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

If we brake any of God's commandments it is showing we do not LOVE God or our fellow man...

Thie is why Jesus says....... If you LOVE me keep my COMMANDMENTS (John 14:15;15:10)

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men every where to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (Acts 17:30-31)

Your just repeating yourself brother and are trying to read into the the scriptures something that it is not talking about. To come up with your interpretation of ROMANS 14 you have to read it into the chapter. Please show me the scripture that says ROMANS 14 is talking about God's 4th commandment?

Where does is say anywhere in ROMANS 14 that it is talking about God's 4th commandment? Where does it say anywhere in the bible that God's 4th commandment from the ten commandments has been ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day? (scripture please?).

ROMANS 14 is not talking about God's 4th commandment Sabbath it is talking about food, eating and not eating and days that men esteem over other days. It is not talking about days that God esteems over other days and there is no mention in the entire chapter about God's 4th commandment. If there is no mention in the entire chapter of God's 4th commandment, are you reading into the chapter things that are not there?

If you cannot find the scripture that says ROMANS 14 is talking about God's Sabbath then what you are presenting is not biblical.

Hope this helps.

You will have to do better than just denying God’s word.

The Sabbath is a day.

One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. Romans 14:5

The Sabbath is a day that some esteem above the other days of the week.

What other day would Paul be Referring to.

Your denial of scripture that opposes your view is what blinds you to the truth.

Paul already made it clear that the Sabbath was the shadow whose substance is fulfilled in Christ.

Christ is the One who cast the shadow of the Old Testament types.

So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ. Colossians 2:16-17

You have no right to judge or condemn other people who go to Church on a Sunday or Thursday or any other day of the week.

Do you think it a sin to go to Church on Sunday?

Great so you agree that the Church is free to assemble on Sunday for Church service.

Now please tell what requirements, Commandments, or instructions there are from Christ to the Church concerning the Sabbath.

Now please tell what requirements, Commandments, or instructions there are from Christ to the Church concerning the Sabbath. JLB

No problem...

In the NEW TESTAMENT.....

1. Jesus taught that it is lawful to do GOOD on the Sabbath? (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56)

2. Jesus taught that God's Sabbath was made for mankind and not man for the Sabbath rebuking the tradtions of the Jew in regards to their traditions and interpretation around Sabbath keeping? (Mark 2:27-28; Matthew 12:8)

3. Jesus taught that he was the maker and creator of the Sabbath and the God of creation? (Hebrews 1:2; John 1:1-3; 14; Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:16-17; Mark 2:27)

4. Jesus is our example who kept the Sabbath as well as all those who followed him (Matt 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matt 16:24; Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Rev 1:10)

5. Jesus taught that break God's Commandments and teach others to do so will not enter God's Kingdom? (Matt 5:19)

6. Jesus taught that not a jot or tittle will pass from God's LAW until heaven and earth pass away? (Matthew 5:18)

7. Jesus taught that on the two great commandments of LOVE to GOD and MAN hang ALL the LAW and the prophets (Matthew 22:36-40)

8.
Paul warns us that those who do NOT believe and follow GOD do not enter into God's Sabbath rest because of their SINS and UNBELIEF (Hebrews 3-4)

9. Jesus, Paul, James, John and Peter taught there is 10 Commandments including the Sabbath and not 9 commandments and if you break one of God's Commandments you stand guilty before God of breaking all of them (James 2:8-12).

10. Timothy teaches that ALL SCRIPTURE (OLD AND NEW Testament) is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). Jesus teaches we are to live by EVERY WORD that proceeds out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4)

Why would Jesus and the Apostles give us further instruction in relation to Sabbath keeping building on the OLD TESTAMENET scriptures if we no longer need to keep it? (Point 1, 2, 3, 6)

SIN is the transgression or breaking of God's Commandments (Romans 7:7; James 2:8-12; 1 John 3:4)

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

.......................

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

Hope this helps.

Nope where have I ever denied God's WORD? I have only provided it. Please show my where in ROMANS 14 it is talking about the SABBATH. If you cannot then your trying to read into the scriptures something it is not saying.

Where does is say anywhere in ROMANS 14 that it is talking about God's 4th commandment? Where does it say anywhere in the bible that God's 4th commandment from the ten commandments has been ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day? (scripture please?).

What other day would Paul be Referring to.

ROMANS 14:1-6
[1], Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. The first thing we see here is that this chapter is about relating to a weak brother.

[2], For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.

[3], Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

[4], Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

Now to the meat and potatoes…

[5], One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

[6], He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

Why is eating and fasting (not eating) connected to days here? Let’s see…...............

Isaiah 58:5
[5], Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD?

links to.....

Luke 18:11
[11], The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. [12], I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

From Bullingers Companion Bible

Luke 18:12 Twice in the week. The law prescribed only one in the year (Lev_16:29. Num_29:7). By the time of Zec_8:19 there were four yearly fasts. In our Lord's day they were bi-weekly (Monday and Thursday), between Passover and Pentecost; and between the Feast of Tabernacles and the Dedication.

Yes they fasted sometimes two days a week and also annually in the feasts of Lev 23.

ROMANS 14 is not talking about the SABBATH it is talking about food connected to days in eating and not eating and days the men esteem over other days not God's 4th Commandment. If you disagree please post the scripture that says ROMANS 14 is talking about God's 4th commandment?

Paul already made it clear that the Sabbath was the shadow whose substance is fulfilled in Christ. Christ is the One who cast the shadow of the Old Testament types. So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ. Sorry brother that has no truth in it at all. You're only repeating yourself here. I have provided God's WORD for you in post # 712 linked click me that disagrees with you please feel free to respond to it if you disagree.

You mix up your Shadow laws with God's 10 Commandments. Besides God's 4th Commandment which is the SEVENTH DAY SABBATH written on stone, there were "SPECIAL" annual ceremonial Sabbath connected to the annual Jewish festivals in the OLD COVENANT written in the MOSAIC BOOK OF THE COVENANT.

These ceremonial Sabbath were not God's 4th Commandment of the 10 Commandments but were connected to annual festivals and could fall on ANY DAY of the week depending on the yearly cycle (please read LEVITICUS 23;24-39).

These ceremonial "SPECIAL" Sabbath (not God's 4th Commandment) were connected to..

* Annual festival of The blowing of trumpet (Leviticus 23:24)
* Annual Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:32)
* Annual Feast of tabernacles (Leviticus 23:39)

These "SPECIAL" Sabbath could fall on any day and were connected directly to these festivals that were prophetic in nature pointing to Jesus and God's plan of Salvation in the NEW COVENANT.

You have your Shadow laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT mixed up with God's ETERNAL LAW that give us a KNOWLEDGE of sin (Romans 3:20).

DETAILED SCRIPTURE SUPPORT COLOSSIANS 2 LINKING THE NEW TESTAMENT TO OLD

Sorry brother if you are not wanting to adress my posts and all the scriptures in them that disagree with you and you are unwilling to answer my questions we will have to agree to disagree.

May God bless you as you seek him through his Word.

Ok. So it’s lawful to do good on the Sabbath, just like any other day of the week.

I would appreciate it if when you quote a scripture reference you would include the scripture so all can see and examine actual scripture.

Stating your opinion the tagging your opinion with scripture references that contain no scripture is the mark of those promoting a man made doctrine.

And He entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a withered hand. So they watched Him closely, whether He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him. And He said to the man who had the withered hand, “Step forward.” Then He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they kept silent. And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other. Mark 3:1-5

So we see here that Jesus was led by the Spirit to go to a synagogue on the Sabbath where unbelieving Jews were gathered according to their tradition, and demonstrate the power to heal the sick, to these Jews who followed the law of Moses and the traditions of men.

There is no command or instructions from the Lord Jesus Christ here to the Church to gather in a synagogue with unbelievers.

Where in the New Testament can a person who is looking for the truth about the Sabbath and what is required for the Church to do on the Sabbath, find some instructions from the Lord Jesus or His Apostles?

Now it happened on the second Sabbath after the first that He went through the grainfields. And His disciples plucked the heads of grain and ate them, rubbing them in their hands. And some of the Pharisees said to them, “Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?”
But Jesus answering them said, “Have you not even read this, what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him: how he went into the house of God, took and ate the showbread, and also gave some to those with him, which is not lawful for any but the priests to eat?” And He said to them, “The Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”

Now it happened on another Sabbath, also, that He entered the synagogue and taught. And a man was there whose right hand was withered. So the scribes and Pharisees watched Him closely, whether He would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against Him. But He knew their thoughts, and said to the man who had the withered hand, “Arise and stand here.” And he arose and stood. Then Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one thing: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy?” And when He had looked around at them all, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he did so, and his hand was restored as whole as the other. But they were filled with rage, and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus. Luke 6:1-11

Again we see that Jesus did good by healing on the Sabbath, just as He did every other day of the week.

The is no commandment from Jesus here, nor are their any instructions to the Church, where Gentiles who live outside of the nation of Israel, as to how to observe the Sabbath.

Jesus was led by the Spirit, and did what He saw His Father do, which included plucking heads of grain, which was gathering food, on the Sabbath, a clear violation of the law of Moses.

So from this we see it is confirmed what Paul taught the Church.

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Galatians 5:18

I have asked your for specific instructions from Jesus or the Apostles about how the Church is to observe the Sabbath under the New Covenant, which is governed by the law of Christ.

as it is written -

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2

Jesus taught that God's Sabbath was made for mankind and not man for the Sabbath rebuking the tradtions of the Jew in regards to their traditions and interpretation around Sabbath keeping? (Mark 2:27-28; Matthew 12:8)

I couldn’t agree more.

And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.” Mark 2:27-28

Amen.

The Sabbath was made for man to rest.

Some today, have a tradition of gathering for a church service on the Sabbath, which causes the ministers, and the singers, and the worship team, as well as the support personnel and those who watch the children to work on the Sabbath.

In addition, many are made to travel some distance to get to the service on the Sabbath, which doesn’t make sense if we are to rest on the Sabbath.

But since we have freedom and liberty under the New Covenant it is not a violation of the law of Christ to work on the Sabbath, though it makes no sense, since the Sabbath was made for man to rest.

Your thoughts?

Ok. So it’s lawful to do good on the Sabbath, just like any other day of the week.

Indeed it is but Jesus applies this teaching specifically to God's 4th commandment Sabbath not any other day of the week. *Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56

I would appreciate it if when you quote a scripture reference you would include the scripture so all can see and examine actual scripture.

Sometimes I do somettimes I do not. If I do not there is usually too many scriptures so I will add the full scripture reference. If you put your cursor over the scripture [mouse over] the whole scripture will pop up on the screen.

Stating your opinion the tagging your opinion with scripture references that contain no scripture is the mark of those promoting a man made doctrine.

Indeed! This is why I have been sharing with you for quite sometime already that Sunday worship is a man-made teaching handed down to protestantism by the Roman Catholic Church and that there is not one scripture in all the bible that teaches that God's 4th commandment has been ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day. This is made very clear by Jesus in *JOHN 15:3-9.

MATTHEW 15:3-9
[3], But he answered and said to them, Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
[4], For God commanded, saying, Honor your father and mother: and, He that curses father or mother, let him die the death.
[5], But you say, Whoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatever you might be profited by me;
[6], And honor not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have you made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
[7], You hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
[8], This people draws near to me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

SIN is breaking any of God's 10 Commandments (Romans 7:7; Romans 3:20; James 2:11; 1 John 3:4) Those who CONTINUE in KNOWN UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT ENTER the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

.................

In times of ignorance God winks at but when as knowledge of the truth has come God calls on all men everywhere to repent and believe his Word (Acts 17:30-31

There is no command or instructions from the Lord Jesus Christ here to the Church to gather in a synagogue with unbelievers.

So, who said there was a command to gather in the synagogue with unbelievers? Not me.

Where in the New Testament can a person who is looking for the truth about the Sabbath and what is required for the Church to do on the Sabbath, find some instructions from the Lord Jesus or His Apostles? JLB

Sorry brother I believe everything from the NEW TESTAMENT scriptures come from the OLD TESTAMENT scriptures. The NEW TESTAMENT does not delete the OLD TESTAMENT together they are the two great witnesses that make up the Word of God and Jesus says we are to live by EVERY WORD that proceeds from the mouth of God *MATTHEW 4:4. We are also told in the scriptures on the NEW TESTAMENT that All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness *2 TIMOTHY 3:16. We are SANCTIFIED through the truth God's WORD is truth *JOHN 17:17. If you neglect God's WORD you neglect your salvation *JOHN 8:31-36; JOHN 3:16-18 because JESUS is the living Word of God *JOHN 1:1-4;14.

Some scriptures from the NEW TESTAMENT maybe you missed them...

Hope this helps

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2 JLB

This post has already been answered with God's WORD with a lot of scripture. Now back to the questions that I have asked you that you continue to ignore brother.

The Sabbath has not been abolished.

The ordinance of the Sabbath according to the law of Moses has been abolished.

having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, Ephesians 2:15

Agreed you could not find a single scripture to answer any of those questions could you? If there is no scripture to say that God's 4th commandment has been ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day, who should we believe God or man?

Not sure why you think there is a command to assemble for a Church service on the Sabbath. I have posted the 4th Commandment to you several times already. Here let's go through God's 4th Commandment again and show what it says.

GOD'S 4TH COMMANDMENT

EXODUS 20:8-11
[8], REMEMBER, the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day)
[9], Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work:
[10], But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY>
[11], For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT.

Points of fact;
v8 The commandment is to REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY TO KEEP IT A HOLY DAY
v9-10 NO WORK is to be done on the SEVENTH DAY SABBATH
v10 THIS IS GOD'S SABBATH made for mankind (Mark 2:27-28)
v8;11 THE REASON FOR THE SABBATH IS A MEMORIAL OF CREATION AND THE CREATOR

There is no commandments to gather on the Sabbath. This being said JESUS and the APOSTLES are our examples and they all gathered on the SABBATH *Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matthew 16:24; Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; Revelation 1:10

Hope this helps brother.

JLB

This was already discussed with scripture. It is lawful to do God's WORK on the Sabbath. These are the words of Jesus himself.

MATTHEW 12:1-12
[1], At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungered, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.
[2], But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to him, Behold, your disciples do that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath day.
[3], But he said to them, Have you not read what David did, when he was an hungered, and they that were with him;
[4], How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the show bread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
[5], Or have you not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
[6], But I say to you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
[7], But if you had known what this means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, you would not have condemned the guiltless.
[8], For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
[9], And when he was departed there, he went into their synagogue:
[10], And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.
[11], And he said to them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
[12], How much then is a man better than a sheep? Why it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

Now if there was no Sabbath after the death of JESUS than there would be no point in JESUS teaching us how to keep the SABBATH would there? Yet we continue to read elsewhere in the scriptures JESUS speaking to the disciples saying after his death and speaking of the end days...

MATTHEW 24:20, But pray you that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day.

Then we have all the disciples keeping God's 4th commandment after the death of JESUS with PAUL keeping the Sabbath with both JEWS and GENTILES

Acts 13:14-15; 42-44
14, And when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and sat down.
15, And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, You men and brethren, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, say on.

42, And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath. <Why wait till the next Sabbath?>
43, Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
44, And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

Acts 16:13, And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a riverside, where prayer was accustomed to be made; and we sat down, and spoke unto the women who met there.

Acts 17:1-2
1, Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews:
2, And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

Acts 18:4-5
4, And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.
5, And when Silas and Timothy were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the word, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.

Hope this helps.

The Sabbath has not been abolished.

Agreed!

The ordinance of the Sabbath according to the law of Moses has been abolished. having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, Ephesians 2:15 JLB

God's 4th commandment of the 10 commandments is not an ordinance. It is God's 4th Commandment spoken and written by God with his own finger on two tables of stone. You mix up the Shadow laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 with God's eternal law that gives us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; JAMES 2:10-11; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172.

.......................

Hope this helps

v8;11 THE REASON FOR THE SABBATH IS A MEMORIAL OF CREATION AND THE CREATOR

I’m not under the law of Moses, because it has been abolished.

If you feel obligated to keep the law of Moses concerning the Sabbath then you are obligated to adhere to the ordinaces that go along with it.

Namely, putting people to death who so much as pick up sticks to kindle a fire.

Why do you keep quoting from the law of Moses?

You just keep going in circles because you have zero scriptures from Christ about observing the Sabbath under the New Covenant.

The Sabbath requirement under the law of Moses has been abolished.

having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, Ephesians 2:15

We don’t put people to death for gathering fire wood on the Sabbath.

You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Exodus 31:14-15

Please quote Christ or His Apostles concerning the requirements for the Church, to observe the Sabbath.

All you have quoted from the New Testament is Jesus or Paul going to a synagogue to preach the Gospel to unbelievers.

That is not a commandment about the Sabbath.

All you seem to have about the Sabbath are from the law of Moses.

Looks like someone has slipped you a “Micky” and now you are trying to pass it along to the Church.

Not Good.

It’s time for you to repent of promoting false doctrine, and attempting to bring God’s people under the law of Moses.

Yes me too. The shadow laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the law point to Jesus and God's plan of salvation in the NEW COVENANT. God's eternal law however (10 commandments) give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN and RIGHTOUESNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; JAMES 2:10-11; 1 JOHN 3:4; PSALMS 119:172. They make nothing perfect but lead us to Christ that we might be forgiven by faith *GALATIANS 3:22-25 so that we can be free to walk in God's Spirit *GALATIONS 5:16.

Not really brother. Your mixing up the CIVIL laws of ISRAEL now under the OLD COVENANT with those of the NEW COVENANT. We do not belong to the state of ISRAEL and we do not live under the OLD COVENANT.

We are in the NEW COVENANT NOW. In the OLD Covenant under the CIVIL LAWS of Israel according to the book of the law of Moses people openly caught breaking nearly ALL of God's commandments were openly put to death not only the Sabbath.

Civil Law DEATH penalties for the law of Moses
  1. Serving other Gods (Deut 13:6-18; 1Sam 26:19)
  2. Idolatary (Deut 13:1-10; 17:2-5; 27:15; Deut 7:25-26)
  3. Using God's name in vain (Lev 24:10-17 )
  4. Breaking God's Sabbath (Exodus 31:14-15; 35:2)
  5. Dishonor Parents (Lev 20:9; Deut 21:18-21; Ex 21:17)
  6. Murder (Ex 21:12-14)
  7. Adultery (Lev 20:10; John 8:5)
  8. Stealing (kidnapping) (Exodus 20:6)
  9. Lying (Deuteronomy 19:15-21)

We are in the NEW Covenant now. The application of the DEATH penalty for SIN in the NEW covenant takes place at the 2nd coming to all those practiing SIN because they reject the GIFT of God's dear son. (Romans 6:23; Hebrews 10:26-27; Matthew 7:19; 2 Cor 5:10; 2 Peter 3:10; Matt 25:46; Romans 2:5; 2 Peter 2:1-9; Matthew 16:27; Romans 2:12 etc..)

God's LAW is the standard of SIN and RIGHTEOUSNESS and the penalty for SIN under the CIVIL laws of Moses wa DEATH for the nation of Israel under the OLD Covenant.

Unless you are living in the nation of Israel under the Old Covenant then those laws do not apply to you.
  • Are you able under the NEW Covenant to commit adultery?
  • Are you able under the NEW Covenant to lie?
  • Are you able under the NEW Covenant to steal?
  • Are you able under the NEW Covenant to murder anyone?
  • Are you able under the NEW Covenant to use God's name in vain?
  • Are you able under the NEW Covenant to dishonor your parents?
  • Are you able under the NEW Covenant to serve other Gods?
  • Are you able under the NEW Covenant to make idols of things?

Now my friend, how many commandments are in God's 10 commandments? (hint; Exodus 34:28; Deuteronomy 4:13; Deuteronomy 10:4)

Now if you answered NO you cannot break God's LAW (10 commandments) in the NEW Covenant you answered correctly.

Just like you could not break any of the other commandments in the Old Covenant because that would be committing SIN because SIN is the transgression of God's LAW and as the scriptures says, if we continue in known unrepentant SIN the WAGES of SIN = DEATH because those practicing SIN have rejected the GIFT of God's dear son (Romans 6:23; Hebrews 10:26-27)

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to just like all the other 10 commandments, we stand guilty before God of committing SIN (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

The CIVIL laws of Moses were to teach God's people that the punishment for SIN was death. This is the same in the NEW Covenant but only carried out at the 2nd coming. It was also a Shadow that is yet to be fulfilled pointing to the 2nd coming (see scriptures above).

So under the NEW Covenant this DEATH sentance is carried out at the 2nd coming against all those who reject God's Word and refuse the GIFT of God's dear son.

....................

There is not one scripture in ALL of God's WORD that says God's 4th commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to worship God on Sunday in it's place.

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has lead many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

In times of ignorance God winks at but now calls all men every where to REPENT for the KINGDOM of HEAVEN is at HAND (Acts 17:30-31)

Hope this helps..
