Yes that would definitely be one of His Commandments.

However, the word believe means trust and commit to obey.

His Commandment is to obey the Son Jesus Christ who is the Mediator of the New Covenant.

His teaching is what we are to obey.

Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 2 John 9

Believe means obey.

He that believeth on the Son hath eternal life; but he that obeyeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36 ASV

JLB

Correction, "commit to obey", is more correct... You said so yourself...

And if you faith is not perfect, it is sin, or unbelief, and how many of us fall under the not perfect faith category? "All of us" except Christ, except God himself... Cause how many of us believe God or Christ on "everything"...? Answer: none...

This why many of you do not have a full knowledge of sin yet, cause if you did, you might see things more like us...

God Bless!

Commit to obey, means starting to submitting and volunteering to go through a process by God, that will and does take time, that will cause or make you better and more obedient to God, or more like Christ, in the end... So it is God that does it, not you... and it is God who gets the credit, not you... Most, some cannot handle, nor do they want to submit to going through the process, or God though...

And then you have to trust God and hang onto your faith through it all no matter what, for that is only faith can be perfected in us...

God Bless!

If he was trying to prove the Seventh day Adventist Church was the true Church then I would have a few words to say.
Say it to yourself, then. Your church, like others, makes the same claim. The church is defined by Christ, and not by those who attempt to corral it.

WHO IS GOD'S TRUE CHURCH ACCORDING TO GOD'S WORD?

Firstly I believe God has his people in EVERY CHURCH as long as they are living up to all the KNOWLEDGE God has revealed to them through his WORD.

JOHN 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

However God is calling his people out from following man made traditions to worship God in Spirit and in truth.

JOHN 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

WHO IS GOD'S CHURCH?

IS GOD'S CHURCH A BUILDING or a CHURCH ORGANISATION?

Before we look at who God's WORD says is God's true Church let's start off by looking at the GREEK meaning of the word Church which is ἐκκλησία which means a calling out or meeting.

This links in very nicely with

MATTHEW 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

A Church therefore is the people the BELIEVE and FOLLOW God's WORD. They are the called out and Jesus is in the midst of them.

WHO IS GOD'S TRUE CHURCH ACCORDING TO GOD'S WORD?

1 JOHN 2:3-4
3, And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep <ALL> his commandments. 4, He that saith, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

REVELATION 12:17
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

REVELATION 14:12
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

REVELATION 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Notice God's people keep ALL of God's Commandments through FAITH in Christ?

NOTE: God's saints keep ALL THE COMMANDMENTS of God. It is these people that are a remnant that the devil is making war with. They are called God's saints and these are the ones that have right to the tree of life.

How many Church's do you see keeping all of God's Commandments?

What are your thoughts?
You are, if you have received the gospel of our peace, are indwelled by the Holy Spirit of promise and are born again of incorruptible seed. You are the body of Christ, a living stone set among the saints, to build up the church into a holy Temple, wherein dwells the Spirit of the Living God. You will bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit to the glory of God and stand before him without blemish or spot and reign with Christ a thousand years. That's not my promise to you, that's the gospel.

Grace and peace,
Mark

( 7 ) : ” THE GREATEST FALSE TEACHING OF THE CHURCHES ! “
August 17, 2017gigoboy777 Leave a comment

The standard teaching in the present day churches is that yes, we cannot save ourselves : That the only thing we have is our own free will, to either choose or reject God . Well does the Bible teach that we choose God of our own free will ? JOHN 1 ( 13) : ” Which were born NOT OF THE WILL OF MAN , BUT OF GOD ! ” ROMANS 9 ( 16 ) : ” So then IT IS NOT OF HIM THAT WILLETH , BUT OF GOD . ” JAMES 1 ( 18 ) : ” OF HIS OWN WILL begat he us with the word . ” So according to the Bible : It is NOT OF MAN’S WILL , BUT ONLY GOD’S WILL ! EPHESIANS 1 ( 11 ) : ” Him who works ALL THINGS AFTER the counsel of HIS OWN WILL . ” : ALL THINGS AFTER HIS WILL LEAVES NO PLACE FOR OUR OWN SUPPOSED FREE WILL ! So this teaching that man has his own free will is completely contrary to scripture : It falsely exalts man with power that he in truth does not have. Well you might ask : Why did not God not give man his own free will ? HEBREWS 12 ( 2 ) : ” Looking unto JESUS , THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH ! ” : So CHRIST IS THE SOLE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF OUR FAITH ! THERE IS NO ONE BETTER QUALIFIED THAN CHRIST TO TRAIN US : CERTAINLY NOT OURSELVES : SO THIS IS PRECISELY WHY CHRIST DID NOT GIVE US A FREE WILL , BECAUSE ONLY CHRIST CAN DO A PROPER JOB ! Only CHRIST knows what things we need to learn , we do not know these things : so what in the world would we do with a free will if such a thing existed : Answer : We wouldn’t have a clue , which is of course why CHRIST did not give us a free will : WE ARE JUST CLAY IN THE GREAT POTTERS HANDS , and thank God , no one can do a better job then God! PHILIPPIANS 1 ( 6 ) : ” He which began a good work in you will continue it unto the day of CHRIST . ” : He began it , not us , and he will finish it not us ! PHILIPPIANS 2 ( 13 ) : ” For IT IS GOD WHICH WORKETH IN YOU , BOTH TO WILL AND TO DO OF HIS GOOD PLEASURE ” : GOD NOT US ! This is solely the work of God : to say that man has any part in it is falsely exalting man : usurping the work of God and falsely placing it in man’s hands : an obvious blasphemy against God , and it is widely taught in the mainstream churches, and needs to be exposed for the blasphemy that it is ! EPHESIANS 2 ( 8-10 ) : 8 : ” For by grace are you saved through faith, AND THAT NOT OF YOURSELVES, it is the gift OF GOD ” 9 : ” NOT OF WORKS LEST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST ” 10 : ” For we are HIS WORKMANSHIP ” Nothing of ourselves! ROMANS 13 ( 1 ) : ” THERE IS NO POWER BUT GOD ! ” No room here for man to have his own power of free will : No power but God. PSALMS 65 ( 4 ) : ” Blessed is the man whom THOU CHOOSEST AND CAUSEST TO APPROACH UNTO THEE . ” : God chooses his elect , and God causes them to come to him by his call, not us by our own supposed free will : totally unscriptural ! Choosing God would of course be a good thing to do, and if we really did choose God of our own free will we would be at least partially righteous, because choosing God would be a good thing, but such is definitely not the case as the Bible clearly says there are non righteous because we do not have the power to come to God of our own will as CHRIST clearly says in JOHN 6 ( 44 ) : ” No man can come to me unless THE FATHER DRAWS HIM . ” : ONLY THE FATHER CAN DRAW HIM : HE CANNOT COME OF HIS OWN POWER ! STOP BLASPHEMING AND SAYING THAT MAN SAVES HIMSELF BY HIS OWN FREE WILL WORK OF CHOOSING GOD : IT IS TOTALLY AND SOLELY THE WORK OF GOD !
The religious put the emphasis on what man must do, those who are enlightened put the emphasis on what God will do

Wow. There's some logic.

1) We are ONLY saved by grace through faith it is a gift of God. -- Got it.
2) We are NOT saved by works lest any man should boast. -- Got it.
3) Grace however is for the fruit of OBEDIENCE (works) of the faith. -- Huh?
I grew up believing I was saved by grace through faith, I did nothing at all to earn it/be placed in a saved state apart from repenting and asking Christ to be my Lord and Saviour. But after that, if I wanted to remain a Christian/remain in a saved state, I must obey the law/not commit sin. And for me then, that meant obeying the letter of it. I then ended up exactly as Paul described of himself as a Pharisee(rom7:7-11) I could quote it word for word as my own personal experience. For I had tried to inherit eternal life as Saul the Pharisee tried to attain it, so I got the same result he got

This is my testimony.

When I first started reading God's Word, I believed that I needed to keep God's Law (10 commandments) for my salvation accepting the death and life of Jesus. I was very exacting in what I believed at the time and tried to be very strict in my observance to obey God's Law. I found after some time that the harder I tried the more I saw myself as a sinner going through a cycle of sinning, confessing and repenting the same old sins, until I was ready to give up in discouragement. I also saw myself on the inside. Sometimes I was outwardly never breaking God's Laws but in my thinking it was not a very nice place to be at all. Where was this love I was suppose to have for others. I knew deep down inside that I did not really love people like Jesus wanted me to.

What now? Reading God's Word Jesus is telling me even if I look on a woman to lust I have already committed adultery applying God's Law to my very thoughts? Ok here I lost all hope..... condemned as a sinner....... All my righteousness now was as it is plainly to be seen, filthy rags. I have finally given up all hope of trying to keep God's Law. There is finally nothing that I can do to save myself.

It was at this place for the very first time in my life I met Jesus. I could finally see that it was he who died on the cross for my sins and that I was the chiefest of sinners of whom Christ had come to save! I knew for the very first time in my life that Jesus had come into the world not to save the righteous but bring sinners to repentance. Before I was righteous (in my own eyes) but now I can see myself just how God sees me, sick with sin in need of a Savoir. The Law of God was my schoolmaster that brought me to the cross to meet Jesus for the first time. Here I was at the cross, all undone my complete dependence was no longer on what I could do, but was only on what God's Word says it would do. For the first time I had complete dependence on the Word of God to do what it says it would do and that Jesus was holding out His free gift of salvation to me all he wanted me to do was to believe His Word and it was mine. I saw for the very first time that I love Him because He first loved me.

Now I walk with him. His commandments that brought me to him are no longer his commandments. They are his promises and as I received Jesus I live in Jesus, by faith in his Word to do what it says it will do. Now I obey and follow him because I love him. He has made me free in Him and given me power to walk with him in newness of life. Now I follow the God of creation by faith and dependence on the Word only to do what it says it will do. I love Jesus and His Word. His Words are spirit and they are life! I worship Jesus every day. I follow His Word by faith and it is he that works in me as I believe His Word. For the very first time I am free in Him, He changes me day by day as I believe His Word.

A counterfeit Gospel is out there. It is a Gospel that tries to separate God's 10 commandments from the plan of salvation.

Why is God's Law important to helping someone to have faith in Christ alone?

Because it is only through the Law of God (10 commandments) that any of us have a knowledge of what sin is (1 John 3:4; Romans 3:20; 24). If we do away with God's Law we have no knowledge of sin. If we have no knowledge of sin we have no need of a savior. If we have no need of a savior we have no salvation. If we have no salvation we are lost. "For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law." (Romans 2:12).

God's Law shows us that we are sinners in need of a savior. God's Law was given to us that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God (Rom 3:19). It shows us that we are sinners and cannot save ourselves from this disease that we have within us so that we can by Faith lay hold of the promises of God's Words so that Jesus can save us from our sins. Jesus did not come to save the righteous (those that think they do not need saving) but sinners (those that know their need of saving) (Matt 9:12-13; Mark 2:17; Luke 5:32) God's Law has always been part of the true Gospel of Christ. The counterfeit Gospel does not have it. God's forever Law (the 10 commandments) is the foundation of both the Old and the New Covenant and the very foundation and basis of the true Gospel of Christ. It will be the basis of the judgement where we will all be accountable to God.

The Law of God is the only way of showing us who we truly are, sinners in need of a Savior and in this condition we can see for the first time Him who loved us and washed us in His own blood and by faith only lay hold of the promises of Gods Word. (2 Peter 1:4) It is here as we believe God, that he changes us from living a life of breaking God's Law to a life of walking with him. It is through the operation of God through Love because he first loved us that we follow Jesus not for salvation but because of love. Love is the fulfilling of God's Law in us who walk not after the flesh (carnal sinful mind) but after the spirit and why Jesus says to his followers, "If you love me keep the commandments" (John 14:15).

People cannot see that this is the operation of God in the believer and assume God's people believe they are saved by their works, when in fact Jesus is saving us from our sins to walk in newness of life in fulfillment of His new Covenant promise (Hebrews 8:10-12)...... Gods Sheep hear His Voice salvation is from sin and sin is the transgression of God's Law (1 John 3:4) whosoever is living in sin has neither seen him nor known him (1 John 3:6).

God bless

The Gospel is every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God and we are to live by it *MATTHEW 4:4.

The Gospel is the Good News about Jesus; incarnate, died, raised, ascended, glorified, for us, so that we could be reconciled to God. The Gospel, for the 21st century Christian, is not what food to eat.

You can't say that God's law is every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, and then limit it to just the 10 commandments.
The Jewish law proceeded from the mouth of God, yet earlier you said that we don't need animal sacrifices any more.

God's WORD teaches that there is known sin and unknown sin *ACTS 17:30-31; JAMES 4:17. It is not God's will that we sin but if we do we have an advocate *1 JOHN 2:1. Those who contiunue in known unrepentant sin do not know God and are still in their sins *1 JOHN 2:3-4.

God bless
But you believe: Through the law you may or not become conscious of sin don't you.
You follow after the written code, that is not where the law is for the believer, it is written in their hearts by the Spirit of the living God.
Those who rely on reading what is written in ink to know what sin is, in my experience do not have the conviction of sin those do who rely on the inner witness. So I doubt you could understand what I wrote.

Why ignore the question?
Bob Ryan believes known sin does not cause you to lose your born again/saved/justified status, do you agree with him?

The answer is yes or know, unless you do not know the answer I guess

Not at all. God's WORD teaches that it is God's LAW (10 Commandments) that give us the KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL; SIN AND RIGHTOUESNESS *ROMANS 3:20; ROMANS 7:7; JAMES 2:10-11; PSALMS 119:172. It is the standard of right and wrong. It makes nothing perfect. It leads us to Christ that we might be FORGIVEN by faith *GALATIANS 3:22-25. It is faith that gives us the victory to overcome the world *1 JOHN 5:4. If you do not have faith it is impossible to please God and if your still in your sins your faith is dead *HEBREWS 11:16; JAMES 2:18-20; 26

I did not ignore your question. I answered it with God's WORD showing what I believe about known and unknown sin.

Known sin does not cause you to lose your salvation if you repent of it. If you do not repent of known sin you will be lost in it. *HEBREWS 10:26-27; HEBREWS 6:4-8; 1 JOHN 2:3-4

Well if you believe God's law is all the laws of the OT, why have you said that we don't need some of them any more?

Much of the MOSIAC BOOK of the COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 was prophetic in nature pointing to Jesus and God's plan of salvation in the NEW COVENANT.

Not at all.
What do you mean not at all? You keep stressing sins of ignorance. That means you must believe through the law we may or may not become conscious of sin. You believe the fourth commandment as written is written in the mind and placed on the heart of people who have no consciousness of sin by breaking it. More proof, you believe: through the law you may or may not become conscious of sin.
By repeating, God's word teaches the Ten Commandments give us the knowledge of good and evil, is to look to the letter written in ink to know what the law is God wants us to follow, that is not where the law is for the born again believer, scripture is clear on that:

You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. 2cor3:3

But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code(law written in ink) Rom7:6.

This is the covenant that I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,’ declares the Lord.
‘I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.

Jeremiah31:33

This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel
after that time, declares the Lord.
I will put my laws in their minds
and write them on their hearts.

Heb8:10

This is the covenant I will make with them
after that time, says the Lord.
I will put my laws in their hearts,
and I will write them on their minds.

17 Then he adds:

‘Their sins and lawless acts
I will remember no more. Heb10:16&17

I know.
But that's not the point. The food and hygiene laws are recorded in Scripture and were God's law, word and covenant. If you're talking about keeping God's law, that should include all the OT laws.

Jesus told us to keep his commandments. He commanded us to love as he loved us, to go into the world and preach the Gospel, to put God first and love him with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. He said that God's will is that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life.
He didn't tell us to obey OT laws, which can't save us anyway.
