Hello,

I recently moved back to Romania from Israel, I married and live here with my wife. She is Romanian.

I am trying to look for jobs int he ministry that are paid. I would really like to devote all my time is service for God, but the problem is all the ministries don't pay here.

I really feel horrible when I work in a normal job it doesn't matter what it is. I feel like I am wasting 8 hours a day, Instead of using this time to work for God's people.

Do any of you know a job or ministry I can work with?

I would really appreciate it, I can't find anywhere on the internet a Christian Job.

Thank you

First you have to ask God if it is His will that you work for a paid ministry. Ask Him to lead you, and ask to give you a paid job and a Christian ministry where He wants you to. If they are the same job, that's great, and if they aren't, that's also great. You'll have to trust Him either way.

I work full-time at a regular job and God is using that a lot. I witness and lead people to Him, and I do work for God's people while at work on my phone and in my spare time. So I still devote all my time to Him, not an hour goes wasted. And I am learning so much from the challenges that come. He can use you anywhere He sends you, and He does with most Christians today, so don't think that you are necessarily wasting your time by working a regular job. It might not feel like it, but if God leads you to a place, you would 100% be where He wants you to be, and that is all that matters. And don't be afraid to accept a low position, because it's humbling and God can use you a lot there.

Hello Emili, thank you for your comment and encouraging words. I do agree with every word you said. In fact, I have been praying for a long time now, and I feel this burden on my heart that I must devote myself to God's work. At the same time, I am looking for a normal job as well. Where ever God will lead me I will obey and do his will.

I thought at the same time while praying and looking for a job, also to post here and see what God's want from me. A ministry job or a normal job.

I'm praying that He will lead you to where He wants you to go, and give you clarity about what He wants you to do. And I am sure that He will provide you with everything and that He will help you devote your entire life to Him. It may not be what you think, it wasn't for me, but it will make sense as He leads you.

Would it be possible for you to have a part-time job?

Thank you so much Emli. Your words are very encouraging.
Yes, a part-time job is also good, I can combine it with reading and preaching in the church from time to time.

You're welcome. :) I'm glad that part time could work you, because that will allow for a lot more opportunities.
When we fully give our lives to the Lord, we can trust that He will work out every part of them according to His will. We can expect Him to use us wherever we go, always keep that in mind and pray for it even if you can't see the opportunities yourself.

Talk to the minister at the church you attend.
Start volunteering and helping there.
As your abilities and gifts are recognised so more oppertunities will appear.

I studied SEO, and technical support. Also at the moment, I am focusing on content writing.

Are these the types of things you are seeking to do within ministry, for a church as an example, or are you thinking about a more drastic change such as becoming a pastor or a missionary or something like that?

If the former, you will need to seek employment with these churches or districts or conferences (whatever is available where you are) and apply to any job openings just like you would with any other employer.

If the latter, then the best way to start would be talking with your pastor and seeing what he or she suggests as a first step.

If you're not a member of a local congregation at all, then start there.

I am not sure about my spiritual gift yet. I very good with music, Also I understood from people that they like the little preaching that I do from time to time in church. I am still praying for God to show me where I can serve him best.

What I told you about SEO and technical support, this is what I studied.

The problem in Romania, there is almost no such thing as a preacher job or work in the church. It is all volunteering. You cannot make a living going to university and studying theology.

But I think you are right, I should start with small steps and help in the church and wait for God's guidance.
