Lies aren't a matter of opinion. We can tell he lied by looking up the facts and seeing that he was misrepresenting them.

BTW, they were lying. When I went through embryology about 50 years ago, they called them "branchial arches", and noted that they are histologically identical to the gill slits found in fish embryos, but of course form different tissues in humans, such as the lower jaw.

It's a perfect example of the way evolution uses existing materials to make new things.

Honesty is not valued much by many professional creationists.

How about stating that Haeckel's drawings are still used in modern textbooks, which we know for a fact is wrong because we can actually look at modern textbooks and see that they aren't there?

In fact, I read a long rant on one creationist site, because textbooks stopped using drawings, and started using photographs of actual embryos (which showed the same things).

You search Haeckel and textbook. You will see a lot of modern books have his drawings.

That’s because you’re in denial . Textbooks only use Haeckels drawings as an admonition to be careful.
Now the pharyngula stage of vertebrate fetal development is a fact. In fact a famous evo-Devo scientist like PZ Myers uses it as the title of his blog . His old blog on Scienceblogs, of the same name , shows a lot of how genes form body parts.

All I find is stuff from 100+ years ago, textbooks that only mention the drawings in a historical context, and creationist sites that misrepresent what modern textbooks actually say. Something that was shown to be inaccurate and 100 years ago is not taught as truth in modern textbooks, period.

I review science textbooks, and I haven't seen any of Haeckel's drawings shown as anything but a cautionary point. How about telling us the title, date, and publisher of this textbook?

. The earth being less than 10000 years old is a lie . Evolution not being a factual process is a lie . Organisms not being related is a lie. And to compound the error creationists make up data and indulge in fantasy versions of evolution and other sciences that they know are not true. If they were true creationists would have verifiable evidence instead of complaints about details that they demonstrate that they don’t understand at all. And then they get mad at real scientists because we don’t believe stories that a 9 year old wouldn’t think are credible .
