Yes, in JOHN'S book, we read Jesus saying that if you love Me, you will keep my commandments. And what did Jesus constantly preach? To believe on Him, and to love our neighbor. And not only our neighbor, but our enemy too.

JOHN also wrote 1 John 3:23 voices what those commandments are. And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

Do not confuse the Commandments of Jesus, with the Old Covenant Ten Commandments.

You did not read the post and the scriptures showing the context you left out of 1 JOHN 3:23 in 1 JOHN 3:3-15 did you? All you have done in this post is posted a bunch of random scriptures that support what is being shared with you here. (Thanks for that)

You are trying to make an argument to say that Jesus has different commandments to God the father. Let's test this argument against the WORD of God.

Jesus says

JOHN 10:30 [30], I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE.

JOHN 17:11 [11] And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to you. Holy Father, keep through your own name those whom you have given me, THAT THEY MAY BE ONE AS WE ARE ONE.

JOHN 17:21 [21] That they all may be one; as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that you have sent me.

Now how can God and Jesus be one if they have different commandments? The OLD COVENANT is FULFILLED IN THE NEW. The Shadow laws pointing to Jesus and God's plan of salvation is are revealed in the NEW. Everything in the NEW comes from the OLD. If it is not in the OLD then it cannot be in the NEW.

If Jesus and God had different commandments then they are not one.

Are God's 10 Commandments from the OLD COVENANT repeated in the NEW?

God's 10 Commandments from the OLD are repeated all through the NEW TESTAMENT scriptures by JESUS, PAUL, JAMES, JOHN and PETER and Jesus and all the disciples followed them by faith that works by LOVE in God's WORD.

As you see the Ten Commandments were not always given to man. Thus, they are NOT ETERNAL. They weren't even on the earth until God gave them to the Jews, along with His created Sabbath as the sign of the covenant with the Jews. That covenant ENDED. And so did its sign.

We are dead to transgressions. And we are not to be judged on account of the foods we eat or because of the feasts, new moons or Sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ. (Note the Semitic writing style of the systematic year, month, week.) If you ever want to grow in Christ you are going to have to ask yourself how is the weekly Sabbath a foreshadow of Christ. Until you understand that, you'll never understand the gospel. You will stay in bondage to the covenant of the flesh, and never receive Christ's Spirit of promise.)

COL 2:16 is not talking about the 10 Commandments it is talking about laws in ordinances from the Mosiac BOOK of the Covenant for remission of sins.

You mix up your Shadow laws with God's 10 Commandments. Besides God's 4th Commandment which is the SEVENTH DAY SABBATH written on stone, there were "SPECIAL" annual ceremonial Sabbath connected to the annual Jewish festivals in the OLD COVENANT written in the MOSAIC BOOK OF THE COVENANT.

These ceremonial Sabbath were not God's 4th Commandment of the 10 Commandments but were connected to annual festivals and could fall on ANY DAY of the week depending on the yearly cycle (please read LEVITICUS 23;24-39).

These ceremonial "SPECIAL" Sabbath were connected to..

* Annual festival of The blowing of trumpet (Leviticus 23:24)
* Annual Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:32)
* Annual Feast of tabernacles (Leviticus 23:39)

These "SPECIAL" Sabbath could fall on any day and were connected directly to these festivals that were prophetic in nature pointing to Jesus and God's plan of Salvation in the NEW COVENANT.

You have your Shadow laws from the MOSAIC BOOK of the COVENANT with God's ETERNAL LAW that give us a KNOWLEDGE of sin (Romans 3:20).

No one has God's Spirit while breaking his commandments (Acts 2:38; 3:19). The same as none have God's Spirit if they do not know God's WORD as God's Spirit works through God's WORD and it is not opposed to it because Jesus is the living WORD of God (John 1:1-3; 14). This is why Jesus says; The Words that I speak unto you they are Spirit and they are life (John 6:63). God's Spirit works through God's WORD.
